Confident all the way that Thy will be alright, roads open at Kinglake again at 7:30, but this is all very hard to take. Pray to God that this can be just over.

Damn this is shit, Thy is without a doubt the funniest guy on this board. His posts have made reading on here near bearable through the offseason. Hope your ok mate. Seems like its been an eternity now.

In times of disaster you want to know your friends are ok (why I was observing) and if Thy could he would - what it hopefully means is that he simply cant - the beginnings of power restoration only begun in my area today


Kinglake right now is a disaster area, and we can all just be hoping and praying he is at an emergancy centre, and okay ...

Sadly he has not come into a relief centre yet but we should not despair yet (Red Cross will inform me if he does) - a plane hired to check out the neighbouring town to where Thy lives observed that the devastation was not as widespread there and Thy lives pretty much half way between the two





We are certainly a community and though not a poster I continued to visit (when posters we sometimes forget that most readers are visitors)



Nothing to be mixed about Sherb old mate - after having my wife and daughter survive the front and not being able to sneak my way in and get them out until 1am - WGAF about bricks and mortar



Where my wife and daughter sheltered with a neighbour, ceased to be a no go zone the next day but that neighbour has still not come out (would not come out when I got in that night) and often people who know what they are doing wont necessarily do so - there is no guarantee that Thy will come out immediately even if he has a clear passage but I anticipate the army will be/have visited his property soon as they are now going to every property

I’ve been glued to this thread since inception. I read with a lump in the throat and just feel so helpless. The misery this catastrophe has caused is heart wrenching. My deepest sympathy to everyone affected by the destruction.

Thanks for your contribution to this thread, Five. While it's no doubt a tough time for you, it is much appreciated. Hopefully everything goes back to normal (or as normal as it can be, I suppose) sooner rather than later for you folk.

Sorting out life is not as hard as you think guns when you have people giving you so much that all you are doing is managing phone calls and knocking back offers of homes and cars and money because you have already been given everything - we have some VERY VERY special people around us. One has to do something for someone else when you are so blessed and to know that the wit of BF is safe would make my heart soar.

From my old home site (page 7 of today's Tu Age is my neighbours) it is just a hop step and a jump to Thys and I will get there tomorrow - if we know his home is still standing his stocks go through the roof

Even if it was - which it isn't The address is definitely right as Australia Post was getting my packages to him - then again it did take them till last week for my sister to get the card I mailed her before Christmas and she lives 15min away from me

gee, that just goes to show how loved and respected he is around here. if the thread hits 1000 posts (although there will be no need for it to reach that many posts as Thy will be back long before we reach the 1000 post mark) are the mods going to make a "Thinking of you Thy II"? surely not!
