Wingman Danyle Pearce has re-signed with the club, as have former skipper Warren Tredrea, defender Michael Pettigrew, hard-nut Tom Logan and young ruckman Matthew Lobbe.

That's exactly what happened.

He exploded, had a couple of good games in the preseason, and then just sucked afterwards.

Even struggled to kick goals in the reserves.

Sign Salter and hurry the **** up about it. Thomas, Motlop, Farmer, Meyer and Stewart should all also be retained IMO (Thomas and Stewart especially), and maybe Thompson as a rookie, but I'd happily tell all of them to pack their bags if it meant we kept Salter.

I would have to be in the negotiation stage. He would be one of your first players to be presented a contract. Him and Lobbe are two of the most important young guys on your list at the moment. Salter has been tested at AFL level and is your best young key forward. Lobbe is now second Ruck.

i reckon they may keep marlon, but lower and farmer are gone.... rumours are farmer will be traded to richmond

so with Lade, P Burg, S Burg, Toby, Farmer, Lower all gone that will leave 6 spaces on our list
i expect D. Stewart to be promoted... so that leaves 5, unless Marlons gone too... and that will be 6

maybe 1 new player to join us (Lewis please.. .lol..) and 4 in the draft possibly leaving 1 for the PSD if theres something worth taking

He's still only 19 and has shown some improvement (prior to OP), i'd expect him to be given at least another 2 years.

I think Marlon has at least shown enough to be retained, he is small and young so he needs at least another season.

Farmer is only in trouble in the repsect that he might be traded, otherwise I expect him to stay on.

I think Meyer has done enough to be retained, I dont think we will find a better rookie prospect this year.

I think Thompson will at the very least be retained and may even be promoted to the main list subject to pre season training effort. Short of a very very impressive preseason effort akin to Kingsleys effort I dont think he should be elevated but I have a feeling the coaches will anyway as they feel he fills a pressing need in that small forward with defensive pressure role.
