im hoping he will finally come good.
Just trying to draw all of the negative carp about Murph away from the Pre-season Training Thread.
Go nuts, naysayers.
Murphy will lead us to the unlit badlands.
So am I.
I'm also hoping to win lotto, an olympic gold medal and for my girlfriend to ask me to bring home another girl for a good time.

Cut him some slack. Sounds like he's pretty desperate this preseason.

Starting a thread especially to bag one of your players is pretty poor form guys.

He's training the house down.
That is what people say about Murphy every season...And then round 1 comes along and he produces the same shit.
Lets face it - Murphy had one good season when he over achieved - aside from that he has been a WAFL level player at best.
I think it is time to cut our loses on Murphy - time to send him to the glue factory I think.

Who bagged 5 against blues in 06.
It does say something when you have to go back 4 years to a game against one of the shittest sides in AFL history to find a decent performance.

Both should be good players at the very least in the modern game and I suspect if traded would go on to be stars.
Murphy is a player of 20-15 years ago, today forward must have more strings to their bow than an ability to lead and mark the ball out in front.
Not when they've got a kick like Murphy. He only needs to do it 4 times a match and he'd kick at least 3 goals, possibly 4. Pretty sure everyone would accept a return like that, even if he does jack shit the rest of the game. He'd certainly take some focus off Pavlich.
Alas he can barely do it once or twice a match.
In relation to Mundy, i'll hold judgement until the first few games of this season. He was pretty good in the last couple of matches - surprisingly hard at the ball. Very unMundy.
