I'm quite happy for you mob to keep him, very happy with what we got in return.
Likewise.

Our ruck appears to hold his feet more than the souffle you drafted with pick 24.

Enjoy Bradley and the other hacks being your number two whilst Sandilands and Pavlich just go through the motions in another nothing year.

Stats for Big Knockers. Round 1 vs Richmond.

Disposals: 16 (9 kicks/7 handballs) @ 63%
Contested Possessions: 7
Inside 50's: 2
Clearances: 3
Marks: 5 (1 Contested)
Clangers: 6
Tackles: 3
Hitouts: 18 (6% to advantage)

61% TOG.

Good first game for Warnock. Hopefully it was nerves that attributed to his efficiency/clangers and they'll be whittled down over the coming weeks.

Too bad there isn't a stat for smothers, he'd win that. Wish the HUN has 1%ers.

Legs 11 did very well last night, hoping his marking improves though.. missed a few sitters which even hampson might have grabbed.

None the less, very impressed.

Well.......probably some more apologies due here to.

Robbie showed today that he is getting better and better. SOme of his work to Juddy was top shelf.

Keep in mind he has played half a dozen games in two years. He is getting his touch back and over the next few years (injuries permitting) will form a formidable team with Kreuzer.:thumbsu:

Very happy with how Robbie is going at present. Number aren't huge, but he is competing in the air and at ground level, getting his body in the way, stopping opposition mids from roving cleanly and giving us a second shot at the ball if he loses the tap............coming along nicely.

........oh.......and to run down Wojinski on the members wing was awesome.:thumbsu:

I was really impressed by his repeat efforts yesterday afternoon.

His chasing was fantastic as was his pressure around the ball. For a huge man he loves to get down on the ground and fight for the ball.

He struggles a bit in the ruck at the moment but he will improve when 1) he gains more experience and 2) when he gets some more strength into his relatively slight frame.

Strong belief was Warnock's saviour
''It was frustrating, but at the time I always knew that this game is all about fitness. People kept asking me how frustrated I was, but personally I knew I'd missed a lot of football and that I wouldn't get that fitness back quickly, that it was going to take time,'' he said.

''I put on a lot of weight in that time, and when you combine that with the fitness I lost, those two things don't mix well. But it was good that I gained all that weight and I knew that the fitness would eventually come if I kept working at it and stayed a bit patient.

''People were wondering what was going on and were probably critical of why I couldn't get in the side, but I knew where I was at, so I was probably more calm about it than they were. It's still going to take some time and I have a fair way to go, but I'm feeling better each week and hopefully it's something I can keep building on each week.''

It's taken time, but Warnock set to repay Blues
Former Essendon and Hawthorn ruckman/forward Paul Salmon said Warnock formed part of a potentially dominant ruck department.

''The Warnock and [Matthew] Kreuzer combination, in particular - it's a pretty handy division to build a team around, there's no question about that,'' Salmon said.

''Carlton are the beneficiaries of their patience, helping Warnock get his body right and his self-belief up a bit.'

Now that I've recaptured my 2010 buddy, I thought I'd go back and see what I observed last preseason.

He's really tall.

He sure is.

He's still clearly building up a fitness base but he keeps up with the bigger guys during the running exercises.

Looked great towards the end of this season. Look forward to seeing how much fitter and stronger he is.

Solid skills.

Do you ever lose skills? Maybe. But the guy can go.

Performed well in rucking drills, particularly the ground level stuff and kicking it to team mates..

It's what he does. Apparently been way more intense at training this season, so looking forward to that.

Having three very mobile ruckmen in 2010 will be our biggest strength.

Still true. :)

Back at the top where you belong, Robbie.

Congratulations Kray-man for attaining the big man.

I'm expecting big things from him this year.
It's evident that with Jacobs gone now, that we may have just inflicted a blessing in disguise here, as we are now largely forced to give Warnock the run he deserves, without chop and change.

Injuries aside, expect a big one from the big one. :thumbsu:

Watch the first 5 minutes of the last quarter against Essendon in Round 19.

That is some of the best ruckwork I have ever seen, and cant believe not many took notice of how good that tap work was for the first few minutes in the 4th term.

Agreed, set up that last quarter thrashing with his taps. Down every midfielders throat
