weird question but has any1 met wellsy? if so whats he like? cause he seems pretty quiet

I met him when he was 18 (I purchased his heritage guernsey in his first year. Club organised for me to meet him.

Was very quiet, but well spoken. Very modest as Urmoe said. Asked me if I was going to Spider Burton's last game, I said I didnt have a ticket, he said come to training on friday.

So I did, he comes up to me and gives me 4 tickets to the game. I was stoked.

We don't want to lose Danny, he means more to the club than just a player.

Still, I would be pissed off if he was being a ball breaker about ridiculous dollars.

wait it woulda been 2003 wouldnt it?

Yeah. Back in the days when they were running the entire club out of a couple of portables.

Doesnt seem like the type of guy who would demand huge coin just for the sake of it.

Wells will stay a Roo: Scott

NORTH Melbourne coach Brad Scott is confident Daniel Wells will remain a Kangaroo beyond 2010.

Wells, who is out of contract at the end of this season, has recently been linked to the Gold Coast Suns.

Scott said he would prefer Wells' contract confirmed before the season's end but was content with the midfielder taking his time to sign.

"I'm not concerned about Wellsy's future," Scott said on Thursday. "I've had a good discussion with him and he's feeling terrific about his footy.

"He wouldn't like to have a quad injury at the moment but other than that he is feeling very settled.

"My focus is on creating a super environment for our players and if I succeed in doing that then I couldn't imagine any player wanting to leave."

Wells, Scott McMahon, Daniel Pratt and Lindsay Thomas will all have fitness tests on Thursday afternoon.

Rookie Marcus White will be elevated to the senior list and will be named in the squad of 25.

More to come.

Great news for Whitey. I like the kid, another tough nut. Hope he gets a run.

interesting

Ive had the privilege a few times over the past few years. He is a beautiful human being....polite, modest and respectful.

Probably not the priorities and qualities required to be a star footballer but he is definitely a superstar person.

Luv scottys comment here.............Im glued to every comment he makes, hes ultra inspiring, am I the only 1 who thinks this?

make me laugh! our best midfielder is clearly a guy by the name of Andrew Swallow - any other conclusion is just utter garbage!

Actually, our best mid goes by the name of Brent Harvey but that doesn't mean Wells is held in lesser regard.

Like this Swallow kid though.

Could be something.

would have to agree but the sight of Wells hitting full speed is something that I enjoy watching and his field kicking would be second to none at our club... he will be the cream we will drool about in three years when Cunners... Zeibs and Swallow are being heavily tagged... and Wells is running of a half back line delivering the ball at will...

Harvey plays more as a wing then a true midfielder these days... would you not agree???

No.

And three question marks influences me as much as one.

Really????

How about four????

Have you met Filth bellzy? If there's anything he's not influenced by, it's question marks. He's covered in them, as shown outside the PoW before the Roo-sistence gig.

Anyone want to contribute to a song from the NMFC members ala Cleveland/LeBron James?

We're sending our love down the Well (s). :footy:

Maybe we can get Borat to sing it:

Throw big dough at Daniel Wells

So he'll stay to play footy

At North Melbourne Football Club

The Suns can have that bald Gary.

No.

I don't think I saw him once in the middle at a bounce in the second half last week... started on the wing and ran in... I suppose today there are more midfielders on then ground then ever before... but to me a true midfielder starts in the guts...
