so, the NBL comes back to FTA courtesy of OneHD and the game is rather blah, the Sixers are up however, we seemed to have continued on with the recent tradition of awfully bland strips and what appears to be past player names on the back of the singlet that my HD TV can pick up ....... and then I look to the corner for the score. They say if you squint at pixelated pictures you can make it out. Wrong. WTF is that OneHD?!? Lift your game.

The names on the backs of the singlets are sponsors/season ticket holders/anyone that paid the right price (Walker and Tippett have got their names on there).

While One HD have done a great job with the commentary with the return of Steve Carfino, plus Andrew Gaze, Brett Maher and Bill Woods (compared to Fox Sports' wank fest last season with Brian Taylor, Dwayne Russell and Shane Heal), the score box is not only quite small, but the game and shot clocks are badly out of sync with the official timing (was 4 seconds out late in the first quarter). Also, they only show the shot clock for the last 10 seconds instead of all the time when Fox Sports had the coverage.

I strongly urge you not to try and understand Julia Gillard's logic on asylum seekers. It's a blackwhole where reason disappears and we end up with some insane compromise that she hopes will placate bogans in western sydney and Bob Brown.

Abbott's position is morally repugnant but at least it has the logic of shamelessly exploiting human tragedy for one political end.

Retail Policy

There are many shops in Adelaide and they all deserve support.
There is retail competition elsewhere in the city.
We could do more to attract tourists to shop in the city and to capitalize on the city as the gateway to tourist destinations.
Adelaide should be the state’s main shopping destination.
Council’s carparks should help retailers in a more tangible way.



It also been suggested that Wong is backed by a large developer in South Australia. "Nothing suss!"

a friend of mine is doing quite a bit of his PR, not convinced it's that wise but he's not running against much. Ralph is someone i've taken clients from and referred to and who I've known for years but his history may go against him.

Anyone who spells on the basis of the SSB recommendations would never get my vote.
 
Paranormal Activity 2 - good sequel, better than the original imo! Though it focused more on trying to make you jump and squirm in your seat than on pushing the psychological aspect.
 
An eminent QC has sent a letter to all law firms in Adelaide spruking Ralph Clarke.

In it it says Clarke has no political affiliations .... apart from x y z.

I asked the nice folks on the lifestyle board and i guess i will ask you nice folk as well.

What is the best way I should cook American BBQ Ribs and how long should I leave them on the grill for.

I get the impression they are not like a nice streak where I can just leave them for 4 minutes before turning over and having them come out medium serving.

So, what is the best way you cook your ribs and how long should I leave them for?

Summer is on the way and so is BBQ season. :thumbsu:

Agree, once daylight saving kicks in, so does BBQ season but everyone is not the same.

On food safari on sbs last night they had a USA special and had a bbq ribs recipe which looked amazing including how long to cook them. They generally have all the food safari recipes on the sbs website so I'd check that out. Happy bbqing:thumbsu:
 
So I finally got myself a copy of Black Crow (to read on a plane flight) and finished reading it a week or so ago. I have to be honest, I thought it was pretty terribly written, it sounded like someone was telling while while half-drunk and someone else just wrote the exact words that were used. I know sports biography writers often use "dumbed down" language to try to make it sound more like it comes from the sportsman in question, but it's not as though I associate McLeod with being a poor speaker in any way.


The book was fascinating, but probably went on a bit, especially at the end when there were a good 15 different tributes to McLeod the player and the man. The whole Tyson/Hewitt thing was necessary for such a book, but very clearly did the whole "I'll present both sides of the story in a transparent attempt to appear unbiased, but then paint my side as clearly the correct one" thing that every biography does.

Got a camera flash on south road crossing regency road the other night, was definately not speeding and was still on the green light.
Ive seen this camera and others go nuts before (for no reason) hopefully this was the case otherwise what can i do? There was another car infront of me in the other lane but i think it was too far infront for it to have been him to set it off.
