TSW, you don't play a lot of DT, do you? :p

Played the last four years, Grand Final in three of them in our Work League which is always pretty high up on the charts.

Scores are probably a little high, but will adjust them a bit when im not so sleepies.

Really?

Mitchell Banner:
I said:
Could average over 60 DT Points.
Last year: 62 Average.

Travis Boak:
I said:
80 DT Points.
A little off here, averages around 90 last year.

Matthew Broadbent:
I said:
Similar to Banner on points, around 60pt average.
Last year: 60.5 average

Dean Brogan:
I said:
Will vary his scores from 40 Points upwards to 100+.
Last year: Average of 75. With scores in the 40's, and upwards of 100.

John Butcher:
Difficult to say on points, but should be in the average of 50 DT Points.
Yet to play

Alipate Carlile:
I said:
Not a huge dream teamer, averaging probably around 50-60 in the year ahead but I would suggest he has the ability to shut down his attacker anywhere from 20-60 Dream Team points on average to their normal week.
Last year: Average of 54.6

Domenic Cassisi:
I said: With Dom in your team your looking at an average of around 70 DT Points a game.
Last year: Average of 80, think this will drop this year if we can keep Gray, Hartlett and Boak in.

Troy Chaplin:
I said: Should average a bit more than bobby and I will put him on 60-70 this year.
Last year: Average of 74.

Chad Cornes:
I said: Is so hard to pick for points, will average anywhere from 20-90 Dream Team points, and I would stay well away.
Last Year: Average of 60

Kane Cornes:
I said: Set to average around 80-90 points this year, and one of our Dream Teamer picks.
Last Year: Average of 100, think it will drop this year due to Age, Chad and similarly to Dom.

Jason Davenport:
I said: Not a consistant Dream Teamer, and will average around the late 50's.
Last Year: Average of 70, wont play enough this year to get his average much higher imo.

Brett Ebert:
I said:
Average somewhere around the 60-75 Mark should be Bretts target this year.
Last Year: Average of 64.6

Robert Gray:
I said:
If he can, there is no reason why he cant be averaging 80+, is he worth the risk though?
Last Year: Average of 68

Hamish Hartlett:
I said:
Average over 80+
Last Year: 79 Average.

My numbers before, were from memory/top of my head, and apart from Boak, im pretty happy with how close I was and my reasoning, so not quiet sure what you mean mate :).

You have Boak dropping 15 points, Cassisi dropping 20 points, Chappy dropping 5-15 and Kane dropping 10-20, as well as not predicting any improvement from the youngsters. Admittedly 'just about all' was a bit much in hindsight, but I'd be shocked if those guys suffered falls to the extent you predicted, especially Boak who should be racking up an 100+ average this year if he progresses as expected.

Kanes recent dreamteam averages.

2005 94.6
2006 105.0
2007 107.5
2008 98.5
2009 95.2
2010 100.7

Always a must buy

What are your opinions re robbie gray this year? Every year hes pumped up and is a lock for DT and then unfortunately is cut down by injury (touch wood for this year). Is he fit and training well?

Also, how is Salopek traveling? Over the years 2006-2009 he averaged 79, 80, 94, 85 but then dropped down to 71 last year. I'm aware he is a fairly injury-prone player and this would have effected his scores a fair bit but is he worth looking into this year? (especially priced under 300k)

Cheers.

Seems to be difficult to pick a Port player who has good value this year. Any Suggestions? Salopek, Jacobs and Moore are the only players I could possibly see being worthwhile.

Salopek would be worth it I'd think, he would be a little risky of course, but at this point hes perfectly fit. It would depend on the price etc. of course.

Marlon Motlop could be a beauty.

Trengove. I currently have him in my starting defenders, how has his pre-season been so far? I can't tell whether the poll above is referring to the upcoming season or last years..

Appreciate any help.

Its referring to last year.

Trengove has been doing great, and barring injury will play every game.

Doubtful, but he'll probably play in the NAB Cup so keep an eye on him for that.

Will Andrew Moore play 22 games this year? He's cheaper than a few rookies, so with the natural improvement he's likely to see, he's a pretty good deal. But I've got money in the bank, so I can get a much more expensive player... I do like having that money in the bank however. Just wanna know what people think on whether he'll play a lot this year or whether even someone like Jacobs might push him out?

So just to confirm - is Robbie Gray currently fit?

Also interested in Andrew Moore.

And finally J. Westhoff - looked really good playing around the ground towards the end of last year. What's the consensus on him?

Will Aaron Young or Ben Newton fit and firing for Round 1? If so will they make an immediate impact or take time?

Hes been 100% all preseason from memory.

If you feel he will make the right numbers, I'd say go for it. He has been injury free for some months now. (please someone correct me if I'm mistaken)

Ben Newton isn't 100% I don't think, after a pretty serious ankle injury, him and Aaron Young are a while off seeing playing time, but could play this year (Newton probably more likely).

Robbie Gray seems to be going great guns, no injury reports that I can remember, he was on lighter training duties at the start of pre-season just in case, but I think he's doing full training with no worries. I might be wrong on this though, but I've got him in my team.

Westhoff... he'd be great value if he continues the play he had going at the end of last season. The thing is, he's been so goddamn inconsistent since 2007 it seems even more of a risk than an injury prone player. Hopefully Primus keeps his head in the game cos he is a rare talent.

Hey guys im interested in how Pittard and Marlon Motlop are progressing this preseason. Any chance for round 1 and what are peoples expectations of these guys for 2011? cheers

Marlon has been training the house down from all reports.

Pittard has been training well also, but I'd wait till after the preseason for him.

Boak v Kornes.

I've got to have at least one Port player in my DT, these two fighting it out for fourth mid spot.
