I dont play online because it's very hard to find a game that isnt against Chicago/Boston/Miami and a player that doesnt spend the whole time cheesing.

I'm 14 games through my second season, playing on All-Star (I think) and would probably put the difficulty up but OKC still lose quite a few games despite my dominance, so it is a pretty good equaliser.

We're 7-6 and I'm mulling over whether or not to pull the trigger and trade out to LAL or Miami. I want a championship and I dont think it can happen with Westbrook at SG, Durant at SF, Green at PF and Oden at C.

Gonna set a new NBA record for threes this year after smashing it in 2010-2011. You cant leave me open out there.

So, is anybody else sick of playing against ****ing Miami in online matches?

I've played around 10 online matches, prefer My Player and The Association.

But I've never played anyone that's used Miami or Boston. I've played against New York a LOT, the Lakers a couple of times and Chicago once or twice.

I used to have this problem as well, had 8 in a playoff against the Lakers.

Only way to do it is slow down, use icon passing, dont pass out of shot unless you have very high pass, dont take off on fast break unless the player with the ball is a good passer (bloody Serge Ibaka was the cause of two turnovers a game for me for awhile there).

Averaging 2 a game, 20 games into second season and average is dropping all the time.

I give up way too many turnovers as a pg on myplayer

In 2 draft combine games as PG i average 14.5 turnovers :p
Meaning a D- rating at best despite averaging 22pts, 12 asts, 8 rebs per game.

I assume practice will make perfect...

Is there thread with a list of PSN ID's for anyone wanting to play 2K11 online? Sick of playing idiots that pause the game to replay dunk after dunk. One little punk was thrashing me and even paused it every time I missed a shot, so I turned the PS3 off.... little sh*ts...

I was averaging like 7.5 TOs my first season. Broke the record for most TOs in a season. Still never got below an A and was ROY and all that.

I ad B2B games of 12 TOs, and also a game of 14

Wow.

How did you average so many TOs? Just throwing wildly?

One thing that kinda annoys me and is related to TOs: I was chasing down a breakaway, he goes for the slam, I go for the block, get the ball lose, I start celebrating, GET THAT OUT OF HERE!, only for it to register as a lose ball rather than a block. Slight disappointment.

Another time, player goes for the layup, I switch over and lay a huge block, send the ball waaaaaaay into the crowd, got some weird looks from the GF when I started dancing in front of the TV.

Blocks are easily the most fun part of this game.

7"5' is cheese. My PG is 6"3' and gets an entire grade filled when I get a block. I heard the taller you are the less points you score, what do you get for a block?

Had another block moment before. Drive into the paint, go the layup, Manu gets the block, going the other way, Manu goes the layup, I score the rejection, right on halftime! Epic.

Love making huge blocks, I get a good amount of blocks for a PG (1.6 a game I think).

Think I'm the same. Average is getting higher as I'm getting better at help defence and switching over.

I like it, sometimes I get caught ball watching and my man slips behind me for an easy 2. I pick up alot of my blocks when they pull up for a mid range shot.
Although you get have that problem when you're guarding Rondo ;)

I'm playing my second season as the Timberwolves and just made a trade for Sam Dalembert. While going through his ratings I was pleasantly surprised to find he'd turned himself into quite the 3pt marksman. Can everyone check their copy and see if I'm the only one who has him with a 99 3pt rating? I'm thinking one of the programmers might have done it for the lulz.

.

Oh its definetly cheese to the max but its a good fun break from my 6'2 PG who is my main my player.

Yep its true i get around 1/3rd of a grade for a block and barely anything for rebounds, maximum skill points ill get for a great game is about 1600.

I'm a 6'6" scoring SG for OKC, they had my playing PF against Tim Duncan and LaMarcus Aldridge.
Gotta hate that. I pumped up my handling skills & ended up with my 7'5" big, slow, lumbering, can't-dribble-or-shoot-from-more-than-15-feet Center put on at SG once for the Lakers, Gasol/Odom/Bynum in the big spots, and consistently played minutes at SF.
Don't get it, there were reasonable guards there too.

G'day fellas. Picked up 2k11 today after finally upgrading from a Wii to a PS3 a couple of days ago. I've had 2k11 for a few months on Wii so I sort of know what I'm in for, however I was really pissed off when my PS3 wouldn't connect to the 2K Sports server. Therefore I'm stuck with old rosters and can't play online. I never had any trouble connecting on my Wii.

Has this ever happened to anyone before and what do you suggest I do? I've already restarted my PS3 twice as well as restarting my modem. PSN, internet browsing, other games all work so it's only 2K that's not loading for me.

I'm starting to think it's a problem on 2K's end. Any troubleshooting/tips? Cheers :thumbsu:

2K Servers were down on Friday Night :thumbsu:

Update on my 3-pt shooting woes. I decided to play around with my jumpshot style. Switched it over to "Ray Allen" and have seen an instant improvement. Just so much better and easier to time. 6/12 from behind the arc. Still missed some wide open ones, but much happier now. I love hitting the 3-ball.

Schooled the opposition in my first My Player game, 68 pts 13 treys 4 boards and 1 assist playing from PG as well as an A+ team-mate rating. Probably should have dished off a bit more but I basically used all my skill points on developing a 3-pt shooter, I'm 79 overall from beyond the arc.

Just bought the game.

Have created two players so far and just trying to find out which is the easiest to level up or I guess play best with. I tried to make a player who could just dunk all day and drive into the rim but once he get held up he couldn't shoot over a jam jar. Then I tried to make a "shooter." Pity they couldn't shoot.

What are people shooting for FG's in there first season? I'd be lucky to get around 25%.

Any tips for a total n00b???
