Seriously. 90% of them are utter w***ers - loudmouthed bogans, metrosexual prettyboys and bar-room bruisers. You'd think someone like Cowan would bring a touch of class to the side but even he proved himself a typical slimy Cranbrook cheat when he refused to walk last night.

So much for the gentlemen's game. The only two who don't come across utter pillocks are Hilfenhaus and Hussey.

No wonder nobody likes us.

90% of people in general are utter w***ers. the reason nobody likes our cricket team is because they've been on the end of 20 years of beltings

Agree with OP. I'm sick to death of seeing all these cricketers from other countries walk when they get the slightest touch on the ball, meanwhile ours just stand there looking dopey when they smash it.

We should look to the Indians when it comes to behaving on and off the field.

Caes, usually I like your posts but this is complete rubbish.

Why does the fact that they're likeable or not matter? As long as they're winning games I couldn't care less.

I can't stand Hussey.
Agreed. He is a disgrace. Pre-DRS he got away with so many LBWs it was ridiculous. But as soon as one decision went marginally against him, he would leave acting like the whole world is against him. Not to mention that he was the one who caught Sangakkara for 192 down in Hobart when it so obviously went off the helmet, but he's happy to go up and appeal for those like there's no tomorrow.

Disgrace.

it's not up to the batsman to decide whether he's out or not. when bowlers stop appealing for every ball that hits the pad or comes within 2 feet of the edge of the bat then batsmen can be expected to walk

Hm...I believe the meme is "Not sure if serious"...

As for the OP...well, it's the culture of the side, and has been for years. It's a combination of professionalism, arrogance and a win-at-all-costs mentality.

However, I certainly think our side is far from alone in having a spiteful edge.

Name me all the international cricketers who consistently walk when given not out by an umpire.

Not as unlikeable as you with your "Holier than Thou" smarminess to be fair.

Also, elite sportsmen act arrogantly/loud mouthed, stop the ****ing presses

Sarcasm doesn't get more blatant mate....

Because they are not picked on merit!!

It has been a boys club for years, now a old boys club with the umbilical cord to the media box.

Every one knows harder to get out than in!!

Look how many years it took for Gilchrist to get in via W.A.

Would be interested to see your current 11 based on 'merit'.

And Gilchrist had to force Healy out...... a fairly handy cricketer wouldn't you agree?

Thats right just handy, Gilchrist should have been in at least 2 years before, same with Hayden about 5 years before. Taylor should have been dumped for Hayden years before!!

Well I am not sure about the who the batsman would be , but I would have pissed Haddin off when that there keeper was about, Pattison is in , Starc is in, probably Cummins but haven't seen him, Lyon gone,.

I would even give a teen a go before Haddin at the moment.

First time I saw Pattison and Starc you could tell they were light years ahead of Johnson!!

Actually , I would get Katich in and get him and Clarke to go toe to toe !!!

Private school boys are just as slimey despicable characters as the rest of us, they just have a greater network of connections;)

But really, not walking? I personally would like it if everyone did walk but he's hardly on his own there.

And basically, the nice guys are probably the ones who've had good solid grade careers, were quality juniors etc. In Australian and especially in NSW sport you need to be a bit more ruthless to make it that extra step much of the time (obviously there are exceptions there), you see it all over the world in sport
