Who would buy that from this forum? If it's not any sports related item, then who cares if you post something like that. Some people need to chill out a bit

Because it creates grey areas. I'm not saying I agree, but it's a reasonable point to make. Because, if you say that only sports-related items are off-limits, well, why should any non-AFL listing be sacred? It just makes everything black and white.

How is there any grey areas? If it's not sports related (AFL, Soccer, Cricket ect ect) then big deal, even better if they're funny listings

Because this is an 'Australian Football' board. What do these other sports have to do with anything? If people are going to randomly include other sports as being off-limits, why wouldn't you just make everything off-limits? Would the 'joke' have lost any of its latent merits, if it had been posted after the aution ended?

When you combine the prices, I reckon you've done very well. I would have had a crack at the old clash one for that price too, just been under the pump and forgot about it. Good stuff. What did the other clash go for, out of interest?

EDIT: I just saw, $60! If that's not a lesson of why it doesn't pay to be tight with the photos on an eBay listing, I'm not sure what is. Should have made another $100-200, I reckon.

What's the deal with that heritage? Were they on sale to the general public, or were they as scarce as the prison bars?

Re: Completed eBay Auctions of AFL Guernseys - *No Live Auctions* (3)

The 05 one was the only heritage jumper on sale to the public, 03 and 07 (Prison Bars) weren't, I'm pretty sure 2004 wasn't either, never seen one before, only framed and signed ones. 2006 we didn't even have a heritage jumper.

I've got another 2005 one, but its size large (bit too big) and its signed by a few Port players. Glad to get one in my size and brand new

Is this guernsey match worn?

Mate better remove the live link, but no it is not. For some reason Adidas made heaps of these guernseys, I'm pretty sure they weren't even available in Crowmania. Unlike Hawthorns release of sublimated Franklin guernseys and I think Carlton did with Judds.

Ahhh you edited as I was typing! Someone could explain better, but that is not a 'player issue' in the sense that Mcleod never owned that guernsey. It is the same as he would have been issued, but it is actually a 'player cut' guernsey with a number printed into the fabric.

Sorry about the link. Thanks for the info.

If it was made with the intention of McLeod wearing it, even if it was never given to him, it's a player issue.

You do get the odd ones like the Franklin 23 which sold retail and came in all sizes which are exactly the same as player issue but since they were never intended to be worn by Franklin you wouldn't call them player issue.

'Player cut' don't have a number on the back.

Yes I agree with what you are saying here, but I think this batch of 23s is different because there are so many of them around, I have seen probably 20-30 ebay auctions of them so it seems weird as to why so many were produced. And none of them have tags which is odd.

On a related but slightly off topic note, my favourite guernsey I own and will never sell is my Mcleod guernsey the same as the one being discussed, which I got signed at the last training session before the Collingwood Semi final in 2010.

I've got one too and reckon it was a good buy, even considering how many of them are around. I really like the design on that guernsey, it's the player issue material...I don't know what you'd call it. It's a player issue, without being a player issue.

Some pretty good prices for your guernseys Chris_Who.

Re: Completed eBay Auctions of AFL Guernseys - *No Live Auctions* (3)

Hahha I knew this would be up straight away. I expected 200 for the peril and 100 each for the small jumpers so it all evened out in the end.

Also I forgot to list the size on one of the small ones, so I will habe to check with the buyer they noticed the listing revisions.

I have a 1996 sekem brand new with tags to put up still

What is so ****ing hard to understand about no live auctions!!??

I have been waiting for another one of those McLeod jumpers to come up for months, checking swoopers items for sale daily to see if he has one up. All the others have sold for around $100, then suddenly one gets posted here today and it goes crazy selling for $150 and i got squeezed out in the last second.

Not saying that it wouldn't have gone for over $100 if it wasn't posted, but there is a good chance people on here were alerted and had a dip driving interest and price up.

Any live auction should be instant red card IMO. Its in the damn thread title and seems to happen every second page. Its bloody ridiculous!!

/Rant.

Agree crow. Everyone seems to get off scot-free or with "just a warning" too. Not even a single yellow. It's meant to the biggest rule on this boaard.

Agree wholeheartedly. I don't think being new and not knowing is a valid excuse (not that everyone who forgets/ignores the rules is new). As crow28 said, it's in the thread title and it's apparently there for a reason...

Re: Completed eBay Auctions of AFL Guernseys - *No Live Auctions* (3)

Agree 100% with the no live rules, if you can't find it, then too bad.

But when people find out about them, the only person who wins is the seller.
