I know it's super early but I am really feeling concerned about Tom. It'd be another wasted high pick if injuries plague his career.

I agree there. It is a worry as Tom spent most of 2011 injured and he has also been injured the entire time he has been on the Swans list. I worry he is going to be one of those players that is always injured and then he gets back to playing for a few weeks before he gets injured again.

Even if that happens, I don't think you can blame the club for picking him. To get him at the pick we did was near highway robbery. He'll come good anyway, give him some time.

On a tangential and often brought up topic, I'm so sick of the injury list being so unreliable.
Hello, i have been saying that since they bullshited about Kels knee. They think they are being clever, but every club these days know whats going on with their opponents for the following week.

what, you think they're being deliberately misleading about Tom's knee? What kind of whacked out conspiracy theorists are you guys? He hasn't even played a game yet ffs. You think opposition coaches are game-planning for him weeks in advance already? He had a set back is all. Its not an exact science. Have a listen to the physio explain it:

Not so much that, I think most people here are fed up with the unreliability of the list in general and pinpointed the Tom example to highlight it.

His still growing... and if he trains too hard or too much he can actually get quite a few injuries...

I think he will come good though... and the knee injury doesn't sound too malicious... It just sounds like he tried coming back from injury a bit too early... and they are being cautious with him...

It not just him, as i said we have been putting up with this crap since Kelly.

Some say Selwoods slide to 7 was from nervousness of a knee. Diesel had a dicky knee.
Coney and Scully are a different type of player and persona than they.
I feel Mitchell is more like a Selwood than say a Scully, and the knee will not negate his coming or career.
