That was my first reaction too!

But it is only early and, moreover, we have a very limited voting system. I mean, Black is one of a few players who have polled in two games but he's the only one with multiple votes who got a 5 vote.

FWIW, I'd say that Maguire and Merrett are two who'd be going OK in the club B&F due to their consistency across 3 rounds but haven't really figured prominently in our voting.

Interesting to see Polec equal 4th ahead of a few midfielders. He's polling well in those losing matches. Early indications that he's not a downhill skier like Sherman was.

That looks about right. I'd expect Redden to climb into the top 5 at expense of Polec, and Brown to get some points sometime soon, but that top group will stay pretty much the same.

Pity Leuenberger got hurt though.

I know we want our young kids like Polec, Crisp, Beams etc to be polling well but we also need Rich to become elite.

Goose has been very good this year as he's always been up against it with a lot of ball coming into our defence. Has stood very tall against some high quality opponents.
