I can't believe the way the crows are acting over Tippett. They've been absolutely disgraceful. If I was a player there right now I would be seriously questioning whether they really care for me. Players from other clubs should be viewing this and seeing just how petulant the crows and their admin are.

You know what the weird thing is? Out of about 6 or 7 Crows supporters I've ever spoken to in the real world about Tippett (before he left), only one of them rated him, yet if you look in the media they act like he's universally regarded as elite. Maybe my Crow supporting mates are just smarter and less sheep-like than the average Crows supporter.

I think McDermott is referring to the Williams/Primus coach selection decisions the past few years as pivotal moments that we stuffed up. Hinge Factor moments.

As a published columnist it shouldn't be up to the reader to decipher lazy and ambiguous references.

Gee I can't wait for the day that unprofessional piece of shit paper goes under and these hacks lose their jobs.

Only in Adelaide is being a footballer the highest qualification for becoming a journalist.

You have a friend, Addy Tiser, who you grew up and went to school with. Infact, that's probably the only reason you see Addy any more, as you don't get on like you used to. Nonetheless, you saw Addy at a mate's birthday and agree to catch up another time.

The next weekend, you meet him at an athletics meet, which at least is a shared interest of yours.

Some of the events have special rules, which you appreciate, but Addy has difficulty grasping. The meet culminates with a 100m sprint. The race has special handicapping rules, where the weight of the sprinter is deducted from their time (e.g. 103kg = -1.03 seconds).

A thrilling race is run. Addy cheers loudly and belligerently as his favourite crosses the line first. After a 30 second wait, the final adjusted times are put on the scoreboard. Naturally, a lot of the placings change, including the the first past the line, who came in third on handicap.

Addy is furious. You try to explain the rules to him, but he is adamant that what he saw with his own eyes has to be right. You try a couple of different other angles to try and explain why the rules clearly led to the outcome of the race. Addy isn't talking, but you doubt that he's really listening. After you have calmly and logically explained the reasons for what occurred, he immediately launches back into his rant. Obviously, he's not taking sense for an answer. Thankfully, just as you can't take any more, you get to your car. After a quick goodbye, you drive off, mystified that anyone could be so blind to the truth, in light of overwhelming, obvious evidence.

You choose not to see Addy again.

EPILOGUE: Years later, you find out that Addy died during routine tribal tattoo removal.

News Ltd. brought out the Advertiser and effectively shut it down, changing the name of "The News" to the Advertiser. The Advertiser was a much better quality "broad sheet" compared to The News tabloid. It was a bitch to read on the bus though.

Thanks for the stroll down memory lane, but I'm wondering why?

Poor old crowie this morning talked about the Tippett saga and stated they didn't want to talk about it last night on their show. Can't have negative press about their club can we.

Imagine if it was our club accused of a draft fix. The claws would have been out.

I think they are in for a world of hurt this afternoon then. Going by posts on the Adelaide Board they are not happy campers. Wonder if Trigg will survive the fallout.

But hey they still have Rooch toeing the party line telling them how Triggy is negotiating the best deal for Adelaide and they should be proud. What agreement? There's no agreement. Oh you mean that agreement ...

Scoop Rooch strikes again. Can any journo be more irrelevant than Ferrethead?

Be back in a minute - just going over to the hybrids board for a laugh. I usually only go there when they lose - unfortunately, that didn't happen much this season, except of course at the pointy end of the season, when it matters.:D

...I'm back - enlightening and a whole lot of fun. It's good to see the shyte on the other foot for a change.

I hope Trigg survives. Most incompetent administrator in sport. Hope he stays there for as far as the eye can see.

If they lose Tippett and Trigg in one off season it could be disastrous for football as we know it.

Keith must be loving this month. All the crisis stories are across the road. ;)

I love how Trigg and Chapman have been painted as the big movers and shakers in the push for a reserves team. Rowey even going so far as to say "Port shouldn't be able to have a reserves team just because the Crows get one", "If Port can't afford one, bad luck", and even referring to us as "the me too's".

Their ill conceived plan to buy out Sturt, compared to all the moves we've already been making with staff sharing and so on across our AFL and SANFL teams, just illustrates how far behind the eight ball they are on that matter.

Oh, but they're visionaries and we're the "me too's".

I think Rowe is the inspiration for the saying Show me the boy at 7 years old and I will show you the man.

Without even mentioning the AO push.

It must be easy running a club that has members and money coming out of its ears - except when you actually have to get off your arse and do things that are bloody hard.

Stupid only made it to the second program.:D

Not only did the local paper miss this huge story they dont even have an article on it yet. Very poor.

Did he really say this? Does he actually know that Port Adelaide is One Club, Two Teams, and the Crows are One Corporation, One Team?

He really said it, more than once. He's cooled on it lately, due mainly to his obsession with Kurt Tippett, but a few weeks ago he was all over it. Referred to us as "the me too's" numerous times.

Unbelievable...well no, I guess it's not really. And Graham's response was?

I can't actually remember Graham's response. Don't think he said much. Rowe was particularly animated though.
