In other news, as expected Gerrard was named the FA England Player Of The Year while Henderson took out the England U21 Player Of The Year.

So very frustrating last night!! To go from a vast range of emotions from waking the neighbourhood up when gerrard struck to head in hands when pepe came out and cost us 2 points!! This is football and why its a cruel game at times!!
Not going to take anything away from the boys though, to those who said we were going no where that is lie!!
BR has this team starting to believe in themselves, he gets the best out of his players with Hendo, Jose, and Stewart all saving their Liverpool careers for the time being!
Not to mention hes now getting the fossil in the back putting in big performances with Skrtel and Agger being a lil inconsistent!
Sturridge is a steal, his footwork and trickery is comparable with Luis's after what i saw last night!!
But same story with the Arsenal game someone tells me we draw 2-2 with Shitty away you take that but after being in the position we were in.. its another 2 points lost!!
We convert these games into wins and we are right up there!!
Couple games we should win coming up now with the hardest in a run of 6 is Spurs at home in 3 games!! we pull wins out of the next few including that 6 point game we can still push for champions league!!

Unless Rodgers told Pepe too run of his line like a mad man or told Agger to put his hand up for an offside and not play the whistle then it's pretty much the players fault.

We're six months into a new system, some good signs there I reckon. Sell Carroll and Downing in the summer for 25 million ( best case scenario) get a bit more off the owners and we might not be that far off being pretty good.

Downing will leave, I'd almost bet a nut on it. Never plays well against good teams. You can't be having that, I'm sure he's a nice enough fellow, but nah **** him right off.

I like Skrtel but wouldn't be against selling him if the right replacement came in. Certainly need a new GK, Reina has been ordinary the last few seasons and seems to be getting worse, he still holds some value so really needs to go at the end of the season. We probably should be looking at bringing in a new backup too. Enrique is great at LB when he's on the park, although he has been good when pushed up too so a second left back would certainly be handy. Who will they be? Who knows, depends on where we finish. It's unlikely we make CL but if we do obviously the type of player we could purchase gets better.

I notice you're very vocal with Ince and i was somewhat vocal about us lacking black guys previously but we have addressed that need, but we definitely need a big black beast in the midfield to give us some strength and a better protection for the back 4. Think the mentality last year our defenders were much more defensive and given the new system their mindset is switched to attacking more leaving us abit more vulnerable which i think makes them more prone to mistakes.

I think Rodgers system is best suited with decent fast wingers but apart from a young Sterling we don't have much options hence why we have two 'false wingers' in Hendo and Downing. We may as well play 3 attacking mids and scrap the wings, so basically just get Downing in a fluro top sitting on the bench and play Coutinho when he's ready.

It's been very hard to defend Reina lately not sure what's up his ass but he will be shopped around i think next summer. He's been so good and loyal to us when everyone was leaving and he chose to stay, but he's just not pulling his weight anymore and all his mistakes are ball breakers!!
