What's the average lifespan of a sports scientist in AFL? Does he value his services at 250,000+ p/a for 20 years?

He's not a barrister on retainer. I'm interested in how he has quantified his losses so quickly, though.

I wonder what they think has been defamatory. He'd definitely have quite a bit to present to a court.
Well accusing him of running a "Drug Laboratory" (Caro's words, no mine) at Windy Hill, stating as basically fact that he injected Essendon players with PED's, all the shit he's been accused of up in NSW. If none of that is true he's got serious grounds to f*** up some journalists.

That brings up some interesting questions then.

1. That Hird and other Senior coaches were aware of there being a possible problem and were OK with the Waiver/Consent forms
2. Suprised that all the Managers were OK with the signing the Waiver/Consent forms and that it didn't get out into the Media
3. That the Medicos weren't doing there job properly in regards to questioning Dank (particularly in regards to the health issues)
4. That the Players Association were OK with the Waiver/Consent forms

You didn't listen to a word of what Spike had to say, did you?

It could be representative to what the business is turning over.

The fact that Dank has issued defamation threats over the Sydney business, and nothing else, says something also.
That it's this business that is the reason he is being investigated by the ACC and that it is his connection to the Essendon Football Club in 2012 that is the reason for us being investigated by ASADA, perhaps?

Can we just get on with the footy ffs.

If it's Richmond and Essendon it would tear the competition apart, two of the big four clubs.

Over-reaction.

If Richmond have a player that is nailed for taking PEDs, then that player will cop it. Don't know that Richmond all copped a flogging when Justin Charles was caught.

If Essendon are proven to have been taking PEDs (even unknowingly) then that by itself will create an almighty mess. The Richmond bit... not so much. But the player will cop a huge amount of flack.

Yes, he has issued defamation proceedings on behalf of his business, but he hasn't issued defamation proceedings for his rumored conduct at Essendon.

Comprende?

Well accusing him of running a "Drug Laboratory" (Caro's words, no mine) at Windy Hill
If this is from the Footy Classified interview, that is a misquote - she said that "what has emerged to me is evidence of is some form of chemical laboratory down at Windy Hill"

stating as basically fact that he injected Essendon players with PED's
Basically fact?

If none of that is true he's got serious grounds to f*** up some journalists.
Yet if one iota of it is true...

Wouldn't it have to be representative of a foreshadowed discrepancy between profits/future profits, based on some form of forensic dissection of the business' turnover? And based on some factual indicator of that discrepancy as substantiated over time?

The Australian legal system differs so vastly from that of Hollywood/America.

In other words its a scare tactic.

Is there a chance Dank could 'turn' against his employers and name them?, if this happens it could bring the whole house of cards down, lots of shady characters follow football, it's not beyond the realms a he could be offed in the next month or so, or fall off a boat whilst on a fishing trip or run into a tree on a ski holiday.
If the Bombers are as shady as they seem to be demonstrating I'd like to take this opportunity to offer to take Dirty Dank on a fishing trip on their behalf.

having read some of the hysteria posted today, it is remarkable either how stupid some people are, or how just how desperate they are to get their scalp.

Nothing new happened today. People at Essendon are very, very comfortable they have nothing to worry about. Anyone who thinks the announcement of an investigation equals the result of an investigation is a moron, plain and simple ;)

Unlike Barrett to sensationalise something, what a surprise Craig Cameron quitting is a nothing story apart from being inconvenient.
