Dont worry Bombers fans
Sure Dank was selling off-list peptides to the Bombers - but that was just because the coaches had expensive habits.
The players were all just on vitamin enriched ribena.

Thats your fairytale alibi - stick to it!
So he told the truth about what he gave the coaches and lied about the players.

Got it.

Right into their guts.

Thats why the Bombers and the AFL have sarted their investigations try and rag it out to minimse the impact on their season.

It could also explain ASADA nailing cronulla just before the sason, six months now is a whole heap of pain, six months in september, wet lettuce leaf, ASADA are not fools and they do understand the sseasonal nature of the sports involved.
Didn't it say that the ex-ASADA officer hired by the club has made the recommendation to come forward no or in the next 48 hours?

What has that got to do with ASADA's timing on anything if they didn't make the call?

So he told the truth about what he gave the coaches and lied about the players.

Got it.

Are you too naive to understand why he would do that?

oh i gave it to the coaches only......that confirms that the vitamins were not really vitamins,

if he had said i gave it to the players then 24 months each, law suits , loss of income yada yada yada.

The coaches though dont play so **** all sanctions, attemtp at white wash.

those words all but confirmed that the stuff bought and paid for by the EFC were outside the wada code, now the question is was it only the coaches?

We had two types mr investigator....the PEDs for the coaches and the Lemon juice for the players.

Naive?

Actually no it is a possibble explanation.

Really lance, and you have never asked for evidence, why is that opponent to you point of view need evidence , and supporters of your point of view dont......

Dont you think that is a double standard?
either evidence is relevant or it isn't...

And in this thread, it clearly isn't.

It is a good thing.

No one is defending any guilty party here, just how that conclusion is reached.

Some want it to be through investigation, some through speculation.
I'm all for a thorough investigation.

It's a pity though that some of your supporters seem to think that the investigation is over and you're in the clear.

THAT, is laughable.

Even if they get 6 months for coming forward they should be de-registered and come back via the draft. Port, GWS, Suns, Melb, Dogs - punishment enough for me.

You just hope this happens so you can get Dyson Heppell through the draft :)

Actually they will probably have to be deregistered or Essendon could not replace them if their contracts extended past the suspension. If they cannot replace them it is a possibility that they could not field a team. That would then be a fair punishment for Essendon as they would not solely gain an advantage for the drug enhanced bodies. Jobe can come in and replace the retiring Judd.

why not - its not like they would go to the Kangas anyway. North Melbourne has the best young talent, the best midfield, the best ruck division, and the best backline in the AFL, and the only reason they didn't win a flag is because of their poor deal at Etihad, lack of Friday night games, and the fact Essendon were not nice to them in 1891!!!

So far the thing that sets Cronulla apart from everyone else is that they have had someone blow the whistle, providing full details of what the players were given. It seems ASADA's only way of proving anything, as all tests across the board have come up zilch.

And no, Reimer's:
"they made us sign something"
"waivers"
"ahhh...yeah something like that"

Is not whistleblowing.

They're just as guilty. Their list made Essendon players so jelly that they asked Dr Ageless for some roids to make them youthful again. Dank injected them into their shinbones

It's Danks whistle that you need to worry about.

When there are a pool of people involved to play off against each other, investigators are quite good at getting a whistleblower.

For eg's:

I couldn't imagine a man of Doc Reid's integrity not being up front with authorities of what he knows.

Weapon has Mr Galbally employed.

Port would want to get at least 3 yrs and 6 months out of their costly 4 year investment.

etc etc

Makes me think that the focus will turn to the AFL clubs in the next few weeks. There are the two whistle blowers ( maybe more) as well to consider.

Interestingly Cronulla employed the ex ASADA guy who is now advising them to plea bargain. Has any AFL club taken on ex-ASADA advice recently?

if the investigation does in fact turn out to find Essendon players guilty of PED's, don't you believe the rest of the competition should feel a little pissed as they would then have every right to look back at previous meetings and suggest they played against a team who were playing above themselves and those 4 points may have been massive for certain clubs fighting for a spot in the 8 or top 4?

Or in our case fighting for ninth....;)

I've said it before, but ASADA have advised that they have 8 ways of linking the use of PED's drugs to an athlete, and enforcing a suspension. A positive drug test is just one of them.

Its the paper trail that is the modern day killer. Invoices and cash movements are what is bringing athletes down today. And before you go "oh yeah, like they are going to invoice for illegal drugs", if they want cash from a club/athlete, they need an invoice, so they falsify an invoice. How much scrutiny will a falsified invoice stand up to though, and once its proven false, how long will the signatory of the invoice stand behind it before they fess up?

I don't really care. I just find it amusing that people think that making up punishments out of thin air, that have no basis in precedence or are not codified anywhere in anyone's rules and regulations is a good idea
