Perhaps it is dawning now on the Mitch Brown fan club why it was so important for him to have stand out (not just okay) games in the last few rounds?

Is Brown the only player in the club with about 10 games under his belt and who has to star in the seniors just to keep his spot on the list?Perhaps it is dawning now on the Mitch Brown fan club why it was so important for him to have stand out (not just okay) games in the last few rounds?

Caddy must be feeling nervous.![]()
He's contracted next year so his spot is safe so long as the club requires his services. I'm a Mitch fan but if we all agree he's predominantly a forward and that Pods has another year in him and Hawk is a fixture there then he's probably fighting for a spot with Vards and Kersten on the occasions we choose to go taller in the forward half. Perhaps even Harry on occasions. Is Brown the only player in the club with about 10 games under his belt and who has to star in the seniors just to keep his spot on the list?

Good news.I thought that he was quite good today as a defender in the VFL.
Has there been a more sustained dominant player at VFL level in the last ten years than Brown?
He really does what he wants at that level.
I just can't accept that you can be so much better than your opposition at that level and not be good enough at the level above.
Its between the ears he needs to develop. Like Hawkins did.Has there been a more sustained dominant player at VFL level in the last ten years than Brown?

I'm a big Brown fan but let's not get carried away. From Geelong alone both Pods and James Byrne were much more dominant at that level.

Brown's goal was pure class. Not all players can do that so easily.
Worth persevering with on our list.
Come back to me when he holds Franklin or Kennedy quiet! Mark my words it will never happen!Yes, at the risk of earning the wrath of catempire ( even Chris Scott folded under pressure about Simpson) Brown can make a defender at Geelong. He is such a classy reader of the play and light bodied players are best behind the ball in my opinion.
Precisely! Said it many times. Talks a lot about flexibility in that context. That's why Mitch has spent so much time there in the twos I guess.Whether or not we think he's a forward may be beside the point.
On TwitCoach this week, Scott clearly nominated him and Hamling as our 2 potential replacements for Lonergan.

Why does brown have one of, if not the biggest thread about him?

Brown isn't dominant at Vfl level. That is a big myth.Has there been a more sustained dominant player at VFL level in the last ten years than Brown?

Nah he really isn't. Will be forgotten very soon. Like Gamble.cos we care about him, he's worth it.
