Its Time For Trigg To Resign.

Bloody hell, I stuffed up Kanes quote above, my reply was after the first paragraph - I couldn't work out how to edit - sorry.

Not that I care - I saw what you were trying to do - but you need to put these characters [/ before the word "quote" at the end of the quote.

Welcome back glorious leader. May your actions never be questioned

Typical Trigg, he doesn't mention the supporters or members once. Such an internal focus at the AFC.

Just from that Youtube freeze-frame, he looks a whole lot older.

FWIW. Nothing to those who have given up I suppose.

2003 National draft
Adelaide
Pick # 14 Fergus Watts
Pick # 31 Joshua Krueger

2004 National draft
Adelaide
Pick # 8 John Meesen
Pick # 28 Chad Gibson
(I know Pick # 24 was VanBerlo)

Thats 2 first and 2 second round picks in 2 years that we may as well have given up.

2005 & 2006 we could have and perhaps should have played in GF's.

We can recover from this.

We at least got some value back from trades.

Snip.

What about the two draft picks we should've received for Tippett?

Using drafts from 10 years ago to suit the argument doesn't help either. First rounders these days are a different proposition to first rounders from 10 years ago. Drafting has changed in the last 5 or so years and is a much, much more professional exercise.

i think this may have been missed in the argument. now i get we are all in doom and gloom mode, but missing out on 2 picks this year is not the end of the world. 2003 was a superdraft if i recall correctly and both turned out to be duds

theres nothing to say that we wouldn't waste the 2 picks even if we still had them

the window is still open, just probably not this year

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/rendells-second-chance-20120402-1w8t4.html

That article tells me, it wasn't the AFL who demanded he get fired at all. as AD said "'I will say we've got a proud record of giving people second chances. Matt Rendell has had a career in the game over a 35-year period and that sort of experience is not something you necessarily want lost to the game" and I would find it very strange that the leader who allegedly demanded he get fired, changes his mind that quickly.

That is not what Vlad said/demanded on the day!
He is rewriting history.
He is full of BS.

Quite a few still **** it up and pick a dud.

I'm not saying it doesnt hurt, it does. However we have a list at least as good as back then, we have FA now and we will have a PSD before Port in all likelyhood. We can recover from this.

This argument is ridiculous.

Look at the 2007 Draft

Pick # 10 Patrick Dangerfield
Pick # 27 Andy Otten
Pick # 30 Jarrhan Jacky
Pick # 38 Myke Cook

If our sanctions had applied in that year, we'd have had Jarrhan Jacky and Myke Cook. Where exactly do you think we'd be if we didn't have Patrick Dangerfield right now? These are the sorts of players you miss out on be being excluded from the first round of the draft.

Our list in 05/06 was at a very different stage of progression to where it is now. Hell, Tyson Edwards was a second tier midfielder for us back then, and he was a gun.

She (or you) sounds confused. Is her issue that he he got the job in the first place, or that he was given another chance. Cos there weren't too many ex - footballers who were part of the decision to retain him - only qualified respected business people. People who I'm pretty sure are better equipped than your mates wife.

#inb4postsaboutcorruptafcboard

I didn't want to push too hard for specifics - my point is there isn't massive 'yeah triggy is back' support down at the club. Apologies it sounds a bit wishy washy - but its a delicate situation I didn't want to probe too hard, but did want to give some small insight back to the folks here.

you can do the same for every draft. it's purely a lottery if the guy we "should" have drafted turns out to be a gun - ie yes theres a pretty good chance he'll turn out great, but theres also a pretty good chance they'll be a dud

Message to the Chairman

Today we reluctantly welcome back our lying CEO, Steven Trigg.; because we as grassroots supporters dont have a say on the matter.

The past nine months have been difficult and testing for our football club and will continue for 2 years at worst.

However, Trigg returns today because he deceived the board who "voted" for him to stay while claiming he considered resigning but didnt have the balls to fall on his sword and still seems to think the Adelaide Football Club and Tippett were over penalised... WTF

We know Trigg returns while still being in denial.

To the heart and soul supporters of the Adelaide Football Club, our immediate future is in ruins. Trigg is to blame, the buck should stop with him.

You should email that to the club.

Why or how come he changed his mind within 2 weeks?

Who caused this change in attitude and don't give me this crap he's out to get us as that is far from the case.

The first round seems a far more exact science these days than it used to be. In the previous 4 drafts in which we've actually had a first round pick (and good recruiters), this is what we've ended up with.

2007 - Dangerfield
2008 - Davis
2009 - Talia
2010 - Smith

I wouldn't call any of them duds.

Correct - those trying to under-estimate the loss of picks on our future are kidding themselves.

We will not find this quality in the 3rd round ... particularly given we gave away our best recruiter!

The only way we can keep up is use our cap space to get a free agent or uncontracted player for unders/through PSD.

neither would i, just saying that it can happen..
