Why is this? What actually happened?

http://au.eurosport.com/football/eu...zhi-after-just-16-days_sto3873106/story.shtml

Anzhi have failed to win any of their first four games of the new Russian season and former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen is set to be sacked after just 16 days in charge.
The club, who are based in the volatile Russian republic of Dagestan, have spent millions on players since being taken over by billionaire Suleiman Kerimov in January 2011.
Samuel Eto'o, Lassana Diarra, Aleksandr Kokorin, Igor Denisov, Willian and Christopher Samba are among the superstar players who have been brought in for big money.
However, according to Sports Express in Russia, Kerimov experienced health problems after the club's embarrassing 1-0 home defeat to Rostov on Friday and has decided to pull the plug.

Mad

Chelsea lads remember Miroslav Stoch? He's just signed with PAOK in the Greek Super League, loan with option to buy. Great signing for the club!

Sugar daddy got bored. Could happen to City, Chelsea, Monaco, PSG... Never know so don't get too comfortable fans of those teams.
To these owners, the clubs are only playthings. You are right in saying that it is not unreasonable to think that they will just get bored one day and leave

Better to be safe than sorry and just prepare for it I reckon. The clubs are used as their toys as you say.

Yeah better watch out! None of those places could ever be as glamorous as Makhachkala or prestigious as winning the Russian Football Premier League.

Was there before the money, will be there when it's all gone.

But with our financial situation about 10 times better than it was even if Sheikh Mansour walked away today, with the new academy and stadium developments being built as we speak and with ownership of potentially the most valuable franchise in the MLS I'm about as comfortable as you can get.

How long have you been waiting for Roman to get bored now?

As opposed to your owners, who bought a debt free club by loading hundreds of millions of debt on the club, and now treat it as an ATM whenever the Glazer boys need a new Ferrari or condo in Boca.

Cant believe our bad luck.

According to the PFA, there is a clause at the 40 million pound mark, where club and player differ is that Suarez and his management thinks it's a release clause, whereas Liverpool are calling it the minimum amount that must be bid before they'll actively consider it (and are rejecting it out of hand). Sounds like the PFA is trying to make the move, or at least a move, happen before the window closes.

Liverpool should stay well clear of the PFA. No incentive for them to put things in their hands.

I love people who sprout garbage like this.

The likes of City & Chelsea are as ensconced at the top end of world Football as any other. Deal with it.

You should save this comment moomba and copy and paste it next time SG or some other idiot brings up this same old shit again.

And SG, we get it, you're threatened by City but prefer to bitch about their money every two weeks. For fvcks sake just get over it, you post enough trash on this board without the repetitive City/money bullshit.

If the verbal clause to Suarez is true, I wouldn't put it past Luis to be making it up, then it is very poor form by the club and it would be difficult for any of the current players or ones you are trying to attract to trust their deals.

Agree that Reina brought it on himself but once again it is poor form by the club to ship him off to another country and uproot his family without at least discussing it with him first, especially since he has been a great servant to Liverpool for many years.

Both show a lack of man management and it's not the sort of things you want to see or hear if you are a current squad member or one being enticed to join Liverpool.
I'm sorry but how is it poor form by the club? Why do we need to discuss anything with Reina first? I love Pepe, I really do, but he flirted with Barca all season long. We take measures to replace him then he gets mad when we ship him off to Napoli.

Also im unsure how it got to the media that we didnt discuss anything with him. We has to agree to the loan. So we have obviously spoken to Napoli about it, gotten a deal in place, then told Pepe and asked if he wants to go. He could easily have said no. It's not like we can loan him without telling him.

We did absolutely nothing wrong? Reina was just mad because he wanted to dump his current GF for his ex-gf, but then when the ex-gf didnt want him, he gets surprised and hurt that his current GF dumped his ass.

I'm glad you've already thought about what you'll do if Sugar Daddy pulls the plug like Anzhi.

I havent thought about it as much as you. But like all supporters I am interested in the future as well as the present.

Really looking forward to seeing the club move forward, especially the ground redevelopment and new academy. Will set the club up for decades.
