Have to agree with Pardew about Arsenal lodging a bid on the day of a game.
Unneccessary.
Gotta play mind games with similar league competition.
Also do people not understand the point of low bids? Obviously clubs don't expect to get a bargain but more to cause unrest with the player. If the player is interested in a move then the official bid will get them thinking and talking to their club and manager which is more likely to force a move. Then by the time they go for a larger, second bid the transfer has a higher chance of happening.
