With Hampson being traded to the Tigers, and now effectively having only two ruckmen on the list - I think we should pick up local boy Cameron Conlon (probably with our #39?).

I like his work as an athletic KPF (much more natural than Hampson - better mark and kick) and we can take him on as a developing ruckman.

I think Conlon will be there in the rookie draft, I couldn't imagine a recruiter giving a senior list position to a guy who although supremely talented hasn't played much football this year, although we did it with Mitchell.

I would have thought that would be good for us. We've had a shot with a few blokes who were definitely better rucks than forwards and found that it's a difficult transition in that direction.

Maybe it's easier to teach tall forwards to be servicable rucks than it is to teach rucks to be servicable forwards?

Agree we shouldn't be wasting draft picks on Rucks when we should be able to get a mature aged in the rookie draft

Have mentioned him earlier on, Injury prone thus far but has a lot of talent.

I also believe he will be available in the rookie draft but given we have secured 2 running players and a decent utility plus our first pick (MID) he maybe worth a shot at our 4th? or 5th if there...
