I'm pretty sure shaving everyday does not increase growth. Or it hasn't had any major noticable change when I did it.

You might as well just shave what bum fluff you have, because clean shaven is better than having patchy bum bluff. In the end, if you're meant to have decent facial hair, it will happen.

Hey guys

If you remember I asked for shaving help like three weeks ago. Well since then I have shaved two times, and after shaving I thought that my pubic like moustaches would never grow back again and instead I would have men like facial hair like this;

But unfortunately nothing like that has happened. My pubic/teen like moustache grows back and some patches of hair on my neck. And the other thing is that it is growing REALLY REALLY REALLY SLOWLY. I have a friend who shaves every third day, he want on a holiday for one week and didn't get to shave and when he came back he had a full on man beard like the ones above.

When will my man facial hair start coming?

Cheers:thumbsu:

Pretty sure the more you shave the faster the hair grows back, however the change is only negligible and you won't actually be able to notice a difference even after years of doing it.

Everyone starts getting hair at their different rate, and some people will genetically have more / grow it faster. A lot of girls actually make their boyfriends shave their facial hair and shaving can be annoying so don't be too upset if you don't have much

This is a myth that many people believe (in addition to the growing back thicker myth):
http://lifehacker.com/5873922/10-stubborn-body-myths-that-just-wont-die-debunked-by-science
Myth 1: Body Hair Grows Back Thicker When You Shave It

You might remember that episode of Seinfeld where Jerry decides to shave his chest despite warnings that it will grow back twice as thick. Although the myth proves to be true on television, it's very much false in the real world. If shaving caused hair to grow in much thicker, balding men would be shaving their heads for hair loss prevention. Children's health researcher Rachel C. Vreeman and assistant professor of pediatrics Aaron E. Carrol put this myth to rest:
Strong scientific evidence disproves these claims. As early as 1928, a clinical trial showed that shaving had no effect on hair growth. More recent studies confirm that shaving does not affect the thickness or rate of hair regrowth. In addition, shaving removes the dead portion of hair, not the living section lying below the skin's surface, so it is unlikely to affect the rate or type of growth. Shaved hair lacks the finer taper seen at the ends of unshaven hair, giving an impression of coarseness. Similarly, the new hair has not yet been lightened by the sun or other chemical exposures, resulting in an appearance that seems darker than existing hair.
Basically, shaved hair feels coarse and that leads you to believe it's thicker. In reality you're just fooling yourself and your hair remains the same.
This is what parents say to their teenage sons to get them to shave, so they don't walk around with embarrassing peach fuzz and neckbeards all the time.:p

I'd recommend that you shave, tazzawazza. You will probably get proper facial hair in a few years time. In the meantime, shave it off. Consider yourself lucky that you don't have to shave every day.

This will have a massive affect in the northern suburbs here in Adelaide. I live 5 mins from the factory, have plenty of mates and family that work there and they are shattered.
The economic damage this will cause long term will be painful. Its not just Holden's it affects, it affects suppliers and local business. It will also have a affect on housing in the northern suburbs.

What people dont understand is every government around the word subsidises their car manufactuers and ours is the cheapest. In the USA every persons pays over $200 a year towards it, in Germany and most Europe its around the $100 mark i think, here is $18. $18, yeah thats a massive issue lol.

The govt made a mistake, it will haunt them in the future

No doubt it will have a big impact and a lot of people will feel pain, however car manufacturing in Australia has been unsustainable for a long time, just no government has had the guts to make the cut. Why should the tax payers continue to pay billions to prop up an industry that doesn't want to be here?

We could of made 5 world class hospitals with the money we have wasted giving holden, imagine all the thousands and thousands of jobs that would create and the huge economic boost from getting injured people back to work faster.

Other countries have vastly different circumstances and economies. It's time for Australia to start making things that are sustainable, how many tens of billions of dollars would it cost to keep holden around for the next 20 years? just for a few thousand jobs? No thank you.

I'm sure the vast majority of the good workers will be able to find a new job in the next 3 years they have, there will be pain but the car industry has to die in Australia, everyone knows its unsustainable.

There's still an industry if you are smart.. China plans to put an electric car in every garage in the world over the next 10 to 15 years

It's a shame the manufacturers here haven't been more progressive with small electric cars and motor bikes for city driving.
They've had them for years in England and Europe

Would cost tens of millions for R&D and the market for those things in Australia is tiny imo

The motor bike market is already very competitive

Manufacturing has been shut down, next it's the farming industry. They're getting screwed over big time.

Adapt or die

For too long Australia has been making things that aren't competitive with overseas producers, we need to specialize more in things we are actually good at.

Could of spent billions doing that rather than handing it to holden
