Just on the bolded part.. I think people need to get that message .. the Club owes the player nothing.. I quote a lot about Geelong with that due to that respect I have for the club for turning it around.
There was an interview with Bartel where he was asked "when do you know it will be time?". I think it was in reference to the Chapman ect. decision. He recalls a conversation with Tom Harley, who said to him, "The club owes us nothing, they have giving us everything". He mentions that if he felt he was holding a spot from a younger player he would move aside. I don't think that has ever applied at Richmond. It has always been a ME ME ME environment.. and I guess that is the clubs fault.. we don't like that big calls....

The reason I sound negative is bc I quote facts on our past which as you know has not been positive
I'm sorry if you think that way about me but I have listed lots of positive quotes if you're prepared to read them all
Hen you run a business or a club etc you take all feedback to be positive it's the only way you improve your organisation
This is why the successful clubs remain successful
They make the hard calls which seem negative to some but in the end it's for their benefit

Mate since you are new here and maybe think it's just like PRE can I make some observations and give you some advice.

Since you came on here you have constantly been criticising the club and being argumentative. It's getting a bit old. We all love the Tigers and want success. And some of us have very strong opinions on certain aspects of the club.

But there's no need to make a prick of yourself if you disagree with someone. I know it's tempting to use snide put downs if you disagree with someone and i'm not gonna be a hypocrite and say I have not done the same at times.

For the sake of the board how about you take a more conciliatory tone even when you do disagree with someone. It's just dragging down the tone of the whole board. No-one is saying you are stupid or don't know what you are talking about or that they disagree with everything you say. This is not PRE and we are not all cheerleaders for the club. I'm personally getting sick of coming on here and seeing arguments all the time. We don't all have to agree on everything but equally we don't have to argue about everything too.

I think you'll find that if you make an effort to post about something positive (even if you think there's not much positive to post about at the moment), you'll find people stop getting stuck into you when you post something negative. The'll take you seriously, not just think you are trolling.

I have never name called or used derogatory words against anyone on Bf but people who get their goat up have called me a troll flog bc they disagree with the facts or better known as the truth
A good response is where people put up a constructive argument

No you haven't but no one else has also stated he has reached 'greatness' or he has basically done 'nothing' for 240 games. you cant have it both ways.

We've been through a fair bit of shit since he started and he's done a huge amount for the club. People forget that he snapped his leg in half similar to that of Nathan Brown, and look how good he's been since.

If he's an average player, then why was he chosen as captain? He's a very good player on field over his career, and the decision wouldn't have been purely based on that, so it just speaks volumes about how good his off field leadership would have been too, and probably still is.

All people care about is how many Supercoach points the player racks up and if it ain't enough, then they're a dud.
