I think they are both finished but not against them being development coaches.

With the end of the COLA there has to be players that will be pushed out of the Swans, GWS and GC obviously have to cull their list more than others.. I am not saying we recruit the next Bachar or Grigg that weren't getting games.. even though we might find a Polec.. but recruit from there best 22.. pay the price...

Imo I don't think getting a player for a year or 2 unless via FA is worth it. Get them as coaches may help(they don't have to play, just pass on advice etc) as an alternative. Also ROK wasn't a coleman medallist so im not sure where you got this from. Did you mean leading swans goal kicker?

Geez. List management is a complex beast. You recruit these two and delist the likes of Thomas, Petterd, Grigg, Newman etc

We can recruit quick players around these two.

What they bring far outweigh any negatives.

It all depends on what you have to give up for them. Anything more than 4th rounders is too much imo.

Replace Thomas with Sewell and Petterd with O'keefe and last night we do not cop 8 goals in a row. Those players stand up when needed and in regards to hindering other players development, well i call bullshit. All they are doing is replacing duds that are already getting games at our club and not stopping young kids from coming through.

That's speculation, you cant know this for sure. Your using their current teams performance(of which they are apart of) as a benchmark in our team which is a false economy. I also cant say it wont but you also cant say it would either.

You'd be able to get both as good will picks this year is my mail.

What I mean by that is those trades that don't make sense like O'Keefe for Pick 79 for instance. It's getting a player to a good situation.

It will only cost us a list spot and when you look at our list, it's not a big thing to give up.



I'd take both. I think we need more than one of this type to transform this list and club.

Sewell in the guts teaching the likes of Cotchin, Martin, Vlastuin, Ellis, Conca, McDonough, Miles how the best train, eat and go about it would be gold.

O'Keefe would be primary a forward and assist with the likes of Riewoldt, Griffiths, McBean, Elton, Arnot, Lloyd etc.

That's how I'd play it anyway. Sure ROK can go In the middle on occasions but primary that's how I'd play it.

Can I ask do think having Bailey as a coach couldn't tell if the group trains hard enough, being from the same club?

Petterd is a HBF can't see either of Sewell or O'Keefe playing there. Foley has pace, Sewell and O'Keefe are slow. The only option then is Thomas and if we're replacing a 27 year old with a 32 year old we may as well ask start making room for another spoon in 2015.

Dropped from the side to work harder and play to the team rules. Comes back and is no different.

I'd rather see what Elton has than gift Vickery any more games.

just what we need 3 playing coaches, will keep lennon, arnott and ohalloran out the side but who cares, we can also now demote dimma to the VFL team..

Is that how much they cost? Fact or making shit up? Use their experience around the young guys. Replace the old battlers who offer no leadership and know how on what it takes to win a flag.

Fwiw I'd only target one otherwise they do become cloggers but having one would help. A Daniel cross at Melbourne type.
