Just amazing the difference in having a decent CEO at the club. The ubiquitous Swann and his profile / standing in the AFL community couldn't be any more contrasting to that of the non-existent Holmes.

Just a fantastic appointment and the timing couldn't have come at a better time. Whilst I'm sure most of us knew it from the outset that Holmes' appointment was just plain wrong, Swann's presence and guile has been so refreshing.

Looks like neither the giants nor the swans have a player sponsorship program. Oh well, means I don't have to try and find money for another membership, sponsorship AND my Lions membership.

My brain is telling me that I'm being stupid and after all he's said and done there's no way he'd ditch the Lions, but right now I'm so down in the dumps with other stuff that's gone on that I certainly feel like he's already gone

Absolutely he is.

Experience, yes. Solid player, yup. Club man, you bet. But I still reckon, even though he's going to be 30 in a few months, I reckon he's got another level he can take it. We saw glimpses this year, but I reckon he can still go better and be a complete game-changer.

I don't think we'll be drafting anybody from the National Draft at this rate.

I have been too and watched more Carlton games then the Lions over the past 5 years. trust me. I the right program he will be a gun. He has only one more chance after his stuff up at Carlton. Remember when we picked up Martin Pike? Probably was in worse shape then Robinson. That worked out well for us? and don't compare it to Fev. Totally different, no gambling debt, no crimes after him, not cheating on his wife etc

it was said a while back we will most probably only have one live pick and it would be pick 4 due to F/S and Academy picks. So after that auction we will be in a better place to keep know what we can deal.

Can someone tell me when the trade period ends? Been out western qld for a while
