It's alright, they will get a first rounder for him.

They're actually going to get St Kilda's No.1 pick (with a meat tray thrown in) accompanied by a note from Gillon.

Gillon McLachlan - CEO of the AFL said:
Dear Horse and team,

To my favourite club.

Sorry to hear about the loss of [insert player name here]. We thought we'd make it up to you with the number one draft pick, which we've retroactively taken from St Kilda for bringing the game into disrepute. (We're still deciding whether their football performances, the burning dwarf thing, or the criminal charges and alleged cover-up are the most disreputable.) Anyhow. There's a great marketing opportunity there, the best young footballer in the country coming to Sydney.

I slaughtered the meat tray personally. Some of my polo horses objected to finals ticket pricing and the overall fixturing this year, so I engaged in a little personal knackery and put them put of their misery. Enjoy!

Gillie Mac.

P.S. WTF was with the GF? I thought we had it sorted at the start of the year?

**** me those $ydney posters are a delusional ****ing mob
They aren't going to hold up money bags or boo him, bleat endlessly about him leaving - they are staying classy unlike hawk supporters

Laughable they would find the two situations comparable - bunch of flog tossers

Backline reduced to old man shaw and Richards and their best defender let go - makes sense

Swans are stuffed next year IF they can't just buy a terrific ball user off half back, might have to have Gary Rohan handle their kick ins from now on (lol). With the picks their "academy" has granted them, I'm sure one of them will be a classy ball user off half back if they can't manage to loot our club for their needs again.

Syds backline is becoming a Greek Tragedy. The one good oldie has just left, dashing the chances of easing into blooding an entire backline by retiring the slowing oldies with Malceski continuing to hold the fort. Guess that didn't appeal to him, holding up the back six alone with kids.

Johnson has just done his knee needing reconstruction for the third time and will not play for 12 + months. Current medical advice to him is to strongly recommend retirement. That's devastating for them with no Malceski and a slowing Shaw starting to get mauled as a kpd.

Hell yes!!!!

And we've got Frawley and are keeping Schoenmakers...

At least the $yds will be fighting the Cats and the Dees for drafting defenders.

Thats the classy supporters who chanted colling wood collingwood when we beat them in 2011 sf and collingwood were our next opponent.

Come to think of it "when we beat the swans in that final in xxxx" is quite a common theme

well Sydney wont be a problem next year it seems

gone: LRT, O'Keefe, Malceski

dying in the ar$e: Goodes, Richards, Shaw

and all their young talent over-rated, the Tippett/Franklin scheme reminds me of the downfall of the once great Carlton, pay your top players well over and watch your squad cannibalise itself for scraps.............

Outspoken Jesinta Campbell cops cold shoulder from Swans WAGS over Grand Final jibe

JESINTA Campbell upset established Swans WAGs this week when she went on the Today show and criticised the team’s midfielders for underperforming.
The former Miss Universe Australia was on the panel of The Grill with Karl Stefanovic on Monday when she accused the team’s midfield of “never arriving”.
When asked about the grand final, Campbell looked at her watch and said: “I am still waiting for the midfield to arrive in Melbourne so the grand final can start.”
Ouch.
AFL sources said the remark upset Queen WAG Clementine McVeigh — Jarrad McVeigh’s wife — and Keiren Jack’s partner Charlotte, who were planning on giving Campbell a “cold shoulder and colder reception” at Friday night’s Club Champion dinner.
It may be the reason why Buddy Franklin and Campbell packed up and left the official event within minutes of formalities ending.
It was after this dinner Confidential learnt Campbell’s boyfriend and Swans million-dollar man Franklin is apparently too cheap to buy drinks inside a pub.
The AFL’s most valuable player took his end-of-season shenanigans to the Pyrmont Bridge Hotel on Friday night and apparently attempted to enter the pub with a six-pack of beer.
Kicking on after the Swans ceremony at Sydney’s Star casino, Franklin, Campbell and a few other players made their way to the Pyrmont Bridge Hotel for a few more drinks
However Franklin was apparently stopped at the door by security, attempting to enter with a six-pack of beers.
An onlooker told Confidential the big shot “couldn’t understand why he couldn’t BYO to the pub”.
“He arrived with a six-pack cradled in his forearm and one open in his opposing hand,” our source said.
“Buddy told the bouncer that he wanted to put it in the bin,
then security told him to use a bin around the corner.
“He got his back up before the bouncer told him it is illegal to let a member of the public enter licensed premises with alcohol.”

I chuckled when I read this article. Some women can be witches at times..:p

I think they will be in it next year. They have deficiencies just like everyone. They will cover for them with most teams. Franklin is Franklin contrary to what every Hawk wants he aint going to dissapear into the sunset a few years of top shelf football still left in him (even with his dodgy knees which aren't as bad as tippetts). Suffice to say the swans aint going anywhere.

Swans are done - put a fork in them. I see the following problems for them;
  1. They basically went injury free this year. They are not going to get kissed on the dick like that again.
  2. They already have serious ruck deficiencies.
  3. They already have no small forwards.
  4. Now they have massive HB deficiencies. They don't have enough run as it is (Jetta and Rohan ) - structurally Malceski is in their top 2-3 players - and they let him walk :drunk:
If the Hawks want a threepeat we need to deal with Port Adelaide - not the Swans.

To be fair, i reckon Clementine and Charlotte would have got more of it on GF day than their squib partners.

Norf supporters totally pissed that Greenwood has left them for the Pies (4yrs @ $400,000)......

....on the other hand they have got Higgins on the same coin !?

Delusional
Geez, North have shot themselves in the foot, if the cap space taken up by Higgins ruined their ability to keep Greenwood, their 3rd best player in the B&F. It's like watching a Shakespearean tragedy unfold.

I'm not too sure. I'd argue Greenwood is the exact sort of player North have in abundance and isn't someone they can afford to have take up $400k for four years, especially when he's had one good year. Higgins at least can play a role where they are lacking and isn't getting four years from what I recall.

The funny thing is; she is 100% correct...

Phil Walsh (who?) announced as Adelaide coach - we keep Bolts!!! YAY!!:rainbow::rainbow::rainbow:

I enjoyed Koshies comments this morning

"Port Adelaide has agreed to releasing Phil Walsh - Port Adelaide have aspired to be like Geelong and Hawthorn. Adelaide obviously aspire to be like Port" :)

I'd argue that North already had a surplus of downhill skiers.

GC have said they are after an experienced premiership coach which tends to rule Bolts out. Good luck to him though.
Why? He coached the premiers!

I find those statements bizarre. That leaves Thompson and Worsfold as the only premiership coaches in the last 10 years who don't have jobs. Who do they think they are going to get??
