Bundy is screwing the club.

Sadly something he seems to be good at

Why not just move to the otherside of Geelong, where he works for Mitho, and it's way away from Lara
Instead he's just screwing the club because he screwed up off field.

If he goes I hope if he plays Geelong next year the Geelong players target him.Of course he'll probably be missing through injury or concussion.

Well I believe we tried once before and he re-signed with them.

If that is the option, I'm happy for the market to decide via the draft, personally. I'd accept the stand and move on with a greater respect for our club. We just have different views here. You are of the school to grab whatever we can, whereas I only see the pitfalls in accepting unders.
Prepare for disappointment.

When you realise O'Rourke has played 9 games in 2 years, injury prone and uncontracted and still nets pick 19, pick 21 for Christensen regardless of his contract status is so unfair it's bordering on trolling.

If that is Brisbane's reponse ours should be 'hi allen, glad you love that name because your new coach's name is allen too! oh and he likes wooden spoons'.

If Christensen would like to cash grab rather than do the right thing by Geelong and ensure a deal that is remotely fair, he can have the uncertainty of going to the draft.

Can someone please ring up and ask why a 23-year-old required player is not contracted for 2015 in mid-October 2014?

If you do I will give you a prize. Code phrase: "I want to discuss the Big... Footy issues".

I think they should televise every move- make a miniseries about it all - a reality show. Every move a player makes, every thought he has, every discussion their managers and the list managers have.
Ch7 could make a killing!

And have BT commentating in the background, on all the moves - just for laughs!! ;)

wowee!

If he's running away then surely Perth is as good a place as any, and we get a fair pick in return.

To have the audacity to nominate a club as an uncontracted player who for all indications was going to sign, I don't care what his personal issues are, he's a selfish, greedy little campaigner.

His woman wants to go to QLD and lets be honest if what's rumoured is true, he aint calling the shots..

I'm having a lot of trouble reading this thread.
A lot of people are obviously very pissed off. I haven't seen so much irrational thought on here before.

It is a bit silly, no one has learnt the lessons of 2011 and Hawks this year. One player does not make or break a team. There is so many factors in success and one player won't determine how we go. I was disappointed but I am at peace with it. We will get another player, who knows how it will turn out. We got Duncan and Caddy through players leaving before so whose to say we won't pull out a better player than Allen out of all this.

Please dont ask for a "source" as i wont give one. All I'll say is Im related to one of the other Aboriginal boys at the club.

But ive read some of the absolute horseshit on here for 2 days and wasnt gonna post, but i am gonna just clarify a few things.
Bundy isnt "running away" He genuinely finds Geelong suffocating. He isnt able to go to the shops without being hassled. Now I know a lot of players take it in their stride, but for some personality types its a huge issue, and he is one that does. It's that reason he wont go to the Eagles.

He also does have some personal issues going on. More than one. And Geelong and any prospective club know what those are. The reality is that those issues, added with his back, mean that right or wrong, his trade value is diminished. In a similar way to Mitch Clark - if Clark was fit and didnt have depression issues - he'd command a 1st round pick. That isnt the case. In the same way, Allen has some baggage at the moment - and thats gonna cost us in terms of a trade.

Finally. For all the people coming on and hanging shit on him, bagging and judging him. Not one of you know him, or his situation or his life. So instea of standing on your soapbox and shouting with your holier than thou attitudes, remember, he's a 23 year old young fella trying to find his way in the world. This is his life. To you its a speedhump to the club you dearly love, but at the end of the day it's JUST football. Its not your total whole encompassing life. So take a breath, get some perspective and let it play out. The sun will come up tomorrow, and the Cats will still be contenders. Sadly one of our favourite players wont be a part of it, but we'll still have a full list of Cats players to cheer for who will go really close again next year. And hopefully Bundy will be able to get his life together and make a fresh start.

That is very sad if that is the case, since he is a local boy and is much loved by all supporters.

Thanks for the other perspective. Can I ask though why does it have to be Brisbane? Why not Sydney, hell why not the Bulldogs or North if he wants to avoid attention. If he still loves the club why not help us out a little bit and nominate a few options. I dont mind helping a troubled young man find his way but it cant be a one way street.

#TradeWeek may be the silly season but something that isn’t silly is mental health. So ask someone ‘Are you ok?’ #RUOKDay

@GeelongCats How about some sort of update from the club about Bundy? Communication from the Cats with their supporters is often very poor.

@EberhardRammler when we know something, you’ll know. We don’t report rumour and innuendo.

@GeelongCats Thanks. I really hope we don't roll over for a 2nd round pick though. That would see a lot of memberships in the microwave.
