A couple of very impressive games now. Couldn't be more pleased for him (and the team). Gives us a big body, reads the play well and has a very accurate - and booming - kick on him.

I'll give it to him, his marking was confident, strong and reliable. It was a big turn from the concrete hands which he did have and cannot be explained away simply by injury. He did look more mobile, still wouldn't say fast but good athleticism.

Simply put, he played like the player we hoped for when he was drafted and I couldn't be happier for him and I couldn't care less if he proved me wrong, which he did, because while I may not have had hope for him as a player, he is a Roo and until he is off the list, we should always hope for the best.
These "concrete" hands are a myth.

Tarrant looks good down back, if the unthinkable happens and we get to see our best team on the park, in two weeks, do we push Tarrant forward?

Whats the best team according to you?

You know, everyone largely available. In the D50, would Grima and Hansen come back in?
OK well i think Tarrant is bigger stronger and has better disposal... so im not sure if Grima come straight in.
what would you think?
Hansen comes in yes, but Thomson can play on smalls so shift him over.... not all teams are as tall as Geelong but Firrito was on a 200cm player today...
I want to see Big Robbie clunking them in the back half... and be that big bodied backman that we require... so no keep him back!

Well, I don't see it being an issue until some time in the second half of the season because Grima will be out for some time. I think there are only a handful of forwards Grima isn't suited to, mostly the Gorilla types. In all reality he is likely cooked, however, I am more worried about our forward 50 than I am the defensive 50.

Wright is doing alot of the intercepting work, when Hansen is back I think it will take a lot of pressure off the full back. Spud is still playing pretty well too.

Assuming form doesn't change much this season I am worried about Petrie, he isn't leading strongly so makes for a poor target for the midfield. Brown is still inexperienced and I can't remember the last time Waite played an entire season.

When Black and Tarrant were in form it really brought the best out of Petrie up forward because both are quite strong in terms of their leading, it drew the opposition defenders out of the forward 30m zone which allowed Drew to contest in that region when it wasn't congested. I don't think Brown and Waite are pulling defenders out of that region often enough, when we do go long there are too many players in that region.

We don't have a lot of options atm, just curious if Grima and Hansen were available and in good form, would we go with an inexperienced FB vs a much more experienced defender, would we drop him or would we use him up forward. I guess if he continues with his current form he has the opportunity to claim the FB spot as his own.

Man didn't expect him to be this good so quick. Playing like an AA CHB. Can't wait to see Hansen back and us dicing up teams from the intercept mark.
