The WAFL website is so bad lately.

No it has always had the same issues. I suspect the server it is hosted on only has a limited number of available connections. Since the alignment came into force and more people have heard about the site it has got worse.
Shouldn't complain too much in my view. The VFL, a comp for 3 times as many people, has no live stats at all so far as I am aware.
