He doesn't wanna comeAsk his family?...
In fairness to Melbourne, there wasn't a great deal of controversy surrounding many of their choices over the period.
Watts for example was almost universally regarded as lock for Pick 1 and a future superstar.
Watts wasn't universally regarded as a lock for pick 1, it was a toss up between Watts and the prodigious talent of Natanui at the time of the draft. History has proved once again that Melbourne pulls the wrong rein on high draft picks more than any other club, even Richmond!

Safe*.The talent of Natanui was purely physical at that stage and there were even doubts as to whether he would ever have the game sense... West Coast had to resort to putting a radio earpiece into Natanui's ear to teach him positioning on the fly because he wasn't responding to other coaching as well as they hoped. He had development hurdles that West Coast managed to overcome, but at draft time Watts was the safe choice for number 1 and Melbourne went for safe.

Swann has already stated that we're not interested in SchulzRobbo on 360 suggested we trade Aish for Schulz![]()
If Robbo reckons that the man is a complete and utter imbecile! OMG!!! This trade and pre draft period is going to be hard to stomach!!!Swann has already stated that we're not interested in Schulz
Agree Bell is a good option as a fall back plan.As your comment suggests, the guy wins the ball and kicks goals - hard to see what's not to like about that when you are stone motherless last with four rounds to go.
Where have you read this? There has been rumblings that the Dees want to trade Toumpas.
Would do. Some Carlton ****er said Aish for a late 2nd round. **** that LMFAOHow does Adam Oxley and our second rounder sound?
Oxley is a QLD'er who enjoyed a solid breakout season.
He is only 22 years old, a very good kick, decent pace and a good reader of play and a nice mark.
If, and it's a big if, Aish nominated Collingwood, would that be a fair trade?
I'd take it for the simple fact that the second rounder would help us secure Keays and Hipwood. How does Adam Oxley and our second rounder sound?

Throw in Keefe and Thomas and it's a deal! How does Adam Oxley and our second rounder sound?

They have all been in the system longer than Aish as well. Cant really compare them.Oxley, Seedsman & Toumpas have all had better years then Aish.
In fact, I believe if it wasn't for Aish's debut season - he wouldn't even be worth a player + pick and would be just worth the pick.
So if we manage to grab a young promising player such as Oxley, I'd take it and run.

Also too inconsistent.Oxley turns 23 so he's not all that young. Or good.
