By 2017-2018 Grundy will be 23-24 and one of the best ruckman league wide if his development trend continues whereas Kruezer will be a ball and chain monetary investment. I'll begrudgingly accept suggestions of Witts being traded, but not to bring in Kruezer its a quick fix when one isn't required...

I would flip. I haven't really cared a huge amount about any of our previous trades/free agency pick-ups, even the ones that have failed, but picking up Kreuzer would firmly keep us away from ever making a premiership with this side IMO from the salary-cap setback alone.

There is no way I would let 2 first rounders go for him. Haven't we learnt from the Judd and beams trade!

It will take years to find out won't it how those picks will develop. All we can wait and see is how those players are after a few years but you would think that they won't be like Treloar in that 2-3 year time period.

Although Moore will be a plus for us within 3yrs, we need another FWD to make White the 3rd Fwd as he was when he palyed his best season in Sydney .
Getting Treloar is great adding ish even better, BUT as we have seen most of the year its no good getting the ball if your going to bomb it into the FWD 50 and watching 3 defenders climb all over Cloke . We need another FWD that takes the heat from Cloke Refer to 2010 If Cloke didnt get you Dawes or Brown did. We rob peter to pay paul with Reid, leave him down back . Moore will be great tall, mobile, good mark, lets not kill him by making him the second option.

Who really knows. The AFL seem to make it up on the fly most of the time.

According to Jay Clark in todays HSun it is just the age of player and contract value.

No way they'd ever get pick 2 for Kruezer. How'd you come up with that?? Hawks got pick 19 for Franklin when he got a $10mill offer from Sydney. Anyway, at the very least we should make him a big offer so they do have to match it!!! If they do it messes up their cap and if they don't we get him for nothing and can trade out Witts. All this talk about trading out Witts on this board ... Am I the only one who see a problem with a ruck list reading Grundy and Cox (rookie)?... this'd be the only way it could work imo unless we want to significantly weaken our backup ruck stock which we've finally now got in decent shape.

I reckon these medium forwards are pretty important players and I'd like to see us go left field and try and get James Sicily. Bloody hard for him to get in that side. Impresses every time he plays.

Kruezer won't be in the buddy contract band though would he.

Id have to look up the numbers, but it isnt high as you'd think. Buddy is wayyyyy above. Someone $1 above the number (whatever that is) is equal to Buddy in the AFLs eyes. See Frawley last year.

Big fan of Sicily since the VFL GF last year.
Has some serious talent.
