HAMISH Hartlett is expected to commit his long-term future to Port Adelaide despite keen interest from rival clubs.
With the Power managing a tight salary cap, there was suggestions the club was vulnerable to losing Hartlett as it looks to accommodate Gold Coast forward Charlie Dixon.
However, Fox Footy understands the 25-year-old is weighing up a new deal that would effectively make him a one-club player.
The lucrative offer is likely to be back ended to help Port Adelaide through its cap squeeze.
Hartlett’s current two-year contract does not expire until 2016, coinciding with his restricted free agency eligibility.
Cross-town rivals Adelaide, in addition to Victorian clubs Melbourne, North Melbourne and Richmond, have been linked to Hartlett. However, the Demons are not considered a likely destination.

#destinationclubnot

they'd have to delist someone highly valuable to afford both Hammer and Dangerfield ;)

david king basically backed up what all of us have been saying here.

he says
-he has spoken to people at port, who found the reports quite bizarre
-hamish close and very keen to recommitting to the club
-no salary cap squeeze (why resign schulz to lose hartlett?)
-hamish hartlett is not a player you let go.

i believe him because i believe the club has its friends in the media who they will give inside info to because they have no agenda (king, Afl 360) or are football people who dont try to big note themselves by spreading rumours like barrett or scoops.

he was on On The Couch after the all australian awards.

healy was pushing his mate from 3aw scoop' agenda. david king shut him down pretty strongly. Brown and Dunstall both doubted it as well.

All good and positive points, but I still can't get past the fact that David King is a complete twat whose eyes are too close together.

Lets say Rooch is right for once :drunk: who are the 5 trade table players?

Young, Moore, O'Shea, Butcher (stay calm), The Carhoon ?

*Mitchell, I doubt would garner any interest

I think all the players not delisted have some sort of value, even Mitchell which is why he wasn't delisted

DEAR ANY VISITING OPPOSITION SUPPORTERS HERE FOR HAMISH HARTLETT

IF YOU SERIOUSLY BELIEVED THERE WAS EVEN ONE WHIFF OF TRUTH TO THAT RUMOUR YOU HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED AS A MORON

GOOD DAY

Big assumption about Rooch. Check out any of his long range trade forecasts. He's pissing in the wind and hoping it's blowing at his back. Doesn't help that he's spinning round in circles. ;)

Players get belted enough during trade week without starting our own unfounded witch hunt.
