Was it? I don't know but you can't mention Essendon without someone saying.........."Oh, they're so hard to deal with".......Wait until Trade Radio fires up :)
Yeah, Damo loves saying it. Damo is gonna Damo.

Sheeds early 00's was horrible during trade week. Offered peanuts for Scott West and asked the world for our discards.

The stigma has stuck from that era.

Just some history fella since the question was asked. But hey multiple egs have been given that are more recent...but no doubt you will believe what you choose to.

I'll ask you a question then fella.... Which actual trades in the last 5 years make EFC so hard to deal with?

Maybe go back a few pages they have been discussed at length. I bowed out after losing an argument to 'Ooggaa Booggaa'

You bought up the Ryder contract scenario that was never a possibility and used it to say Essendon were being difficult.

The contract is known on the Essendon board as the 'oogga booga clause' as it was nothing but a scare tactic from the biggest scum manager in the game. Paul Connors.

Ok. So this advice of baseless scare tactics come from the same sols who were recommending (and losing) court action after court action? Ooggaa Booggaa indeed.

Hurley's 1 draft prior to Carlisle.

Has shown to be a better player so far mainly through competitiveness, effort and intensity. If you put Hurley's heart in Jake's body you'd have the best KPP in the comp by a long way.

we'll give you pick talia for carlisle's body, and pick 11 for hurley's heart?

The thing that Dodoro will NEVER get and understand, is that:

It is not what they are worth, it is what you can get for them.
What you can get for a player is what they're worth, like it or not.

Yes and no. When a player nominates a club you can somethimes end up with less than their worth.

For instance, GWS offered pick 4 for Ryder. Ryder wanted Port and only Port so we ended up with lower picks.

That's the business though.

Before Essendon and Hird* tried to ruin his career, he showed great promise as a key defender - will be a better player than Hurley.

Possibly but they are different players. Carlisle is good against the Cloke/Tippet types but gets torched on lead too often to play on the more mobile key forwards.

Hurley smashes Carlisle 1 on 1, Hurley is just to powerful for him.

In this case all Essendon need to do is refuse to trade and he will stay at Windy Hill........... oh wait.

We let go of a contracted player for under his worth.

So difficult to trade with.

That's not true.... sometimes they mention that other stuff instead.

Well you have been to mediation twice in the last three years right?

Mediation last year was must have been really groundbreaking.
Who would have thought of such an obscure trade like including Port's second round pick in a deal for Ryder.

That Dodoro magically turned into Adam Cooney. Brilliant.

He goes to Carlton and you rely on a spine with 3 30 plus year olds
Great result for you

Three? One of Fisher or Dempster may be playing FB or CHB, depending on match-ups (with Goddard likely in the other role), but I'm pretty much expecting Riewoldt to play wing for much of next year- as he did for at least one full game at the end of this past season- to allow Bruce, McCartin, Membrey and Hickey to develop in their roles up front.

If he wants to go to Carlton , we could offer our whole team to Essendon and he will still go to Carlton. Drumming away... wondering when the situation will start to sink in.

Meanwhile 3 old players is hardly a worry nor is it unusual.
StKilda have depth to cover Sam Fisher, Sean Dempster and Leigh Montagna.

How are the Bombers going with depth to cover Fletcher and Carlisle? Best you draft Mitch Brown and hope for the best.

We will have the announcement Thursday that Jake has asked to be traded to Western Bulldogs.

Bombers want pick 11 and 30
Bulldogs want to give pick 30 and Talia

Carlton only offering 3 year deal
St Kilda want to use second round pick only and a player? 5 year deal
Bulldogs offered 4 year deal with the promise of CHB position a lock by the coach..

This is not a rumor and I would rather my club went for Tomlinson GWS

Or we will probably use the pick 5 we will be getting from St Kilda.
