Stop after the first step and have 3 in the first 14?Sounds good, except we then don't meet Noble's 3 picks in the top 30 plan.

Pretty sure you are wrongIt was confirmed by Katrina Gill today that he signed on for 2 years last year when his contract was announced. The club just didn't say the length at the time.
Glad Katrina's put that one to bed. There's a beauty in the draft in mature ager [22] Michael Hartley, 197cm, 105kegs, who really shone in the VFL this year and last, or they may opt to use on of our high picks on impressive youngster Keiran Collins though I doubt it personally. Not many around for trade though
We lost a big fish, so I guess thats something then?Only one person has mentioned anything about a possible 'big fish', but I guess it's easy to search for something new to be outraged about, right?![]()

Depends how many picks we want to use. Upgrading one of those to pick 5 is possible in a package (and according to AFL points ratings is fair and achievable).Wallice just said on Trade Radio that when talking to Noble a couple of days ago, Noble indicated that they wanted to keep picks 9 and 13 to get two young players at the higher end of the draft which sounds like we're not in the market for pick 5 based on that.
2 high first rounders, Hampton, Menzel and a rookie upgrade sounds better3 first round picks does sound appealing.
Yeah, the if the dogs don't trade him and don't offer a contract they'll be forced to delist him making him qualify as a DFA.If we want Talia, he will likely be delisted after trade period
he is about 5cm taller and a tad younger with more exoperience, but not much moreYeah, doesn't seem to be. Michael Talia goes OK, but I'm not sure he offers more than what we currently have.
How about the Geelong delistee who went around for Essendon in the pre-season??? Does that sound right? There's a beauty in the draft in mature ager [22] Michael Hartley, 197cm, 105kegs, who really shone in the VFL this year and last, or they may opt to use on of our high picks on impressive youngster Keiran Collins though I doubt it personally.
Sydney wont allow him to be delisted. He will be traded. Everyone is just waiting for him to be cleared by the AFL integrity unit before they put forward offers. If we want Talia, he will likely be delisted after trade period
It's a bit of a win-win. We have a very good history of early 10s picks, but we've also never had a top 5 pick before. So you'd back our history to make good out of either situation.3 first round picks does sound appealing.
Why would Sydney have a say in that?Sydney wont allow him to be delisted. He will be traded. Everyone is just waiting for him to be cleared by the AFL integrity unit before they put forward offers.
But he wont be delisted.
Not for teams using picks for academy/father sonPeople do realize the points value of draft picks is entirely different to the actual draft value year to year?

Hartley>>>Mitch Brown....bigger, stronger, better offensively, not just a pure stopper IMO.How about the Geelong delistee who went around for Essendon in the pre-season??? Does that sound right?
Haven't they effectively already said that Talia will not be a Dogs player next year? Seems like a mutual agreement by all parties that they don't want him there. So unless someone wants to pay for him, he will become a Delisted Free Agent.Sydney wont allow him to be delisted. He will be traded. Dont worry, clubs want him.Haven't they effectively already said that Talia will not be a Dogs player next year? Seems like a mutual agreement by all parties that they don't want him there. So unless someone wants to pay for him, he will become a Delisted Free Agent.
The List Manager likes having two bites of the cherry to get Tambling as well as DeledioAccording to "the list manager" Noble said they wouldnt be trading for pick 5 as he thinks we are better suited to have two picks and not one. For a change I agree with him. Would much prefer a Milara and Burton than a Francis or Parish.
I would rather have two chances at getting a gun than one at this point.

Can we really trust them with such responsibility?

Was always headed that way if we didn't get a ready made replacement (or 2) for Danger. New coach only exacerbates things.I guess we're no longer of the belief that 2017 is a realistic target. Trading no one in of note would imply we've got a brand new 3 or 4 year plan.
Disappointing. Feel like now was the time to pull the trigger, considering where our list is at.
