This kid reminds me a bit of Luke Shuey, his break away speed around the contest is something we've desperately lacked, and I think many hoped that Atley would provide that. Hopefully Ryan can become that type of player, allowing Atley to stay down back where he seems to be reaching a new level.

My recruiting mates assessment:

Solid player without being brilliant but having said that does everything well. Very professional and a leader who seems to be team focussed. Long kicking needs to improve but not terrible just lacks a bit of penetration but is slight in build and that may come with development. Excellent reader of the game and gets to the right spots and has very good pace to get out of traffic.

Definitely sees him as a winger/outside runner but no problems getting his own ball when required. Played some absolute cracking games send half I'd thisbyear including a brilliant final to get into the granny but was disappointing in the Grand Final where he thinks he was tagged.

At 31 though, he said we did very well as most team's looked for key position players causing him to slip as he was considered a 10-20 draft pick.

I was more referring to the break away from the contest which in the highlight videos really reminded me of Luke. If he plays like Gaff as well as had the ability to break away from the contest with speed, I will be very happy
