What we need to do is not allow a loose man onto him. If they drop an extra back we need to move an extra forward to keep them honest.

Worst case they triple him so we pick the eyes out of the loose men.

For some reason I was thinking if I pressed it to paper it would be mirror imaged...
Yeah, I think that is what a lot of tattoo artists think also, have seen some shockingly bad spelling. :drunk:

Okay so I'm sort of inventing reasons to post about Hogan, but why not.

Beyond him being just awesome, I don't think there are words to rate the value of having the archetype power forward to the rest of the team. And I will bet that in a second year with the AFL team now accustomed to having him down their, his play will dictate more and more how the ball is delivered to the forward line, which improves the whole team.

I really rate GWS in terms of talent, but I honestly think to some extent their game is geared to the particular style of their best forward who to me plays as though he is a really large small forward. He runs back so frequently and has some amazing tricks, but he hasn't developed the traditional forward playing style with time and I'm not convinced he will. And I think that changes their overall style to a high risk plan, easily disrupted, that relies too much on speed and talent. And absence of injuries etc.

Give me an old style power forward any day of the week. I love Jesse and I may treat myself to another rewatch of the Richmond match just because.

100% agree, Cameron is wasting his talent a bit playing as a tall Garlett.

Plus the Hogan being awesome part. We've got our biggest gun since Flower and he's going to carry us.

I watched a bit of this game today. The commentrary box has a collective orgasm everytime Jesse does anything at all, including when he hacks a mung ball into the forward 50 which Jeffy eats up. Amazing they were still able to call the game with the heavy rain and the 'ectoplasm' of 4 grown men obstructing their line of sight

Hogan and Flower in the same paragraph. Or in the same team. In their prime. I had to recover consciousness before posting this. Can you even contemplate the awesomeness of that idea. Sit down before attempting it.

I was watching it the other day ... i enjoyed the part where Bruce asked where Hogan ranked among the other Key Forwards his age like Boyd, and Carey basically laughed at him

Watching the highlights of Hogans goals for 2015 it's crazy how many he actually created himself.. by this I mean the majority of his goals came from either marks where he had to fight for it, crumbing off himself or crumbing off other contests. If he gets better delivery in the coming years and kicks goals from easy marks on the lead as well as still having the ability to make his own opportunities who knows how many he can kick.

Our constant struggle with getting the ball inside 50 really puts his goal tally into perspective as well, and that's before you even think about the manner with which the ones that actually made it down there got to him ... it actually gives credence to Pendlebury's off the cuff statement of 100 goals and bags of 10.

From a very simplistic point of view, you'd think someone as simple as moving the ball quicker (which from the training reports i've read, sounds like a focus - anyone who has actually been there can correct me on that tho) should at least get the ball past the arc a bit more, and from there, the great man can do the rest.

I loved seeing Garlett getting the clearance at the centre bounce a couple of times this year and kicking it straight into the forward line. Giving Hogan a chance on the lead. Hopefully a fit Salem and the addition of Melksham as sweepers can see this type of play happening more often in 2016. I also believe that Vince/Jones will have more opportunities on the outside as our young inside mids develop. They both like to get the ball moving forward quickly and accurately whenever they have space to do so.

The duck said hes the most exciting young forward hes ever seen, think what you want about the duck but he knows a thing or two about talented young forwards
Wayne Carey is a ****ing idiot. Sure he has a good eye for what it takes to be a good forward but he's equally as often completely full of shit with his observations. I don't need his opinion to know that Hogan is a class above the other KPF talent in the comp.
