Well yeah but history is instructive here. The parallels are striking.

Goldwater stood against racial equality. He opposed Civil Rights. Trump is a racist moonbat.

Both had foreign policies which were confrontational at best, reckless at worst.

Both were opposed by the entrenched within the Republicans for being too extreme.

And all the Dems had to do was say "Hey. Look at that guy". They could have ran with a cardboard cut out. And that's what they have with Clinton.

All she has to do is campaign on what Trump is and says, and it will be a massacre.
Yeah, you draw some interesting parallels.

What the Democrats put forward in 1964 was a president that ramped up the war in Vietnam, a conflict that killed 1 million Vietnamese and left a horrific toll of cancers and other afflictions due to the use of Agent Orange in that war.

And right now the Democrats have nominated their most war loving candidate since LBJ.

As you say, the parallels are striking.

I agree. It's nice to see other posters agreeing that the US is violent agressor and has been a terrorist state.

US capitalism is a built on war. Entire towns are built around military bases. Hundreds of thousands are employed in the forces, and millions' work relies on it. I think you could have Ghandi as the President, and it wouldnt matter.

Clinton has at least shown some tendency towards diplomacy.

They're very different, BLM don't seek to subjugate white people, they just want action against the disproportional amount of Black Americans who seem to be killed by police. Like the feminists, or the civil rights movement, or the gay rights movements, they scare the shit out of old white men, who lash out. We've seen this all before when minorities speak out, it's tiresomely familiar. Fortunately demographics are wiping out these shitheads fairly quickly.
It's amazing the hatred a member of the wealthy elite can have towards the poor. It's not just demographics, it's economic misfortune and despair that is whiping out 'white men' (and white women) in America.

Gough, you would have hated black people when it was believed the right way to think 100 years ago.

Really? Towards which countries? I know she sold arms to Saudi Arabia, among other countries, which were used to kill 100,000 Yemenis. What other diplomatic measures has she shown tendency towards?

As I said the US is built on permanent war capitalism.

I'd be very willing to listen who wants to challenge the arms and military industry in the US. Trump is not that person.

Hillary is more of a threat on policy than Trump, there's no doubt. Trump wants to make peace with Russia, Hillary wants to arm and collate with Islamic terrorist groups.

Trump's military policy is built around defence of America as opposed to defence of the world. It's a retreat from America's role as protector of the sea lanes and enforced of liberal democracy where possible. It's why every single prominent neocon absolutely loathes him.

Ah-huh. I'd be surprised if every single candidate for the Presidency since WW2 hasn't promised this.
