The problem lies with the plot. The whole thing was telegraphed a mile out. Was there a single viewer anywhere who didn't expect to see Littlefinger come riding to the rescue, when all appeared to be lost? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Didn't think so. The whole Riders of Rohan moment was obvious weeks ago, as soon as we knew this battle was coming, after Sansa met Littlefinger in the barn.
The scene in the barn where Sansa said she could order Brienne to cut him down, the scene where Sansa hints at the horrors Ramsay inflicted on her that she can still feel.Hey I didn't see it coming. I didn't even know Littlefinger had pledged his troops... I must have missed that bit or simply forgotten. Which episode did he say he would anyway? I'll rewatch it.
Preferably. Didn't enjoy the Shame scene as much as I should. Why do you need it to be actually that actress to enjoy it?
Oh I think I kind of remember that, she got really mad at him because he didn't protect her. I don't remember him saying he'd send troops to join the battle though. Will have to rewatch, do you recall which episode that's from? The scene in the barn where Sansa said she could order Brienne to cut him down, the scene where Sansa hints at the horrors Ramsay inflicted on her that she can still feel.

The Tullys and Arryns are not the same people. There are ties through marriage, yes, but they are separate houses/armies.Huh... Rewatched the scene from episode 5 between Sansa and Littlefinger. It was mostly her chewing him out for Ramsay's abuse. He mentions that the Blackfish's Tully forces could come in useful, but I thought they belong to the Lannisters now? Never saw him mention sending troops to fight Ramsay.
Ah nevermind, just saw the later scene where she asks Brienne to go fetch the troops. But I thought Brienne was unsuccessful in that effort?
So confused.
The Tullys and Arryns are not the same people. There are ties through marriage, yes, but they are separate houses/armies.
During episode 5, the Blackfish was in command of the Tullys, and were holding Riverun against the Lannisters and the Freys. Brienne was sent to try to get the Tullys to support the Starks, but the Blackfish wanted the Tullys to stay and defend Riverun against the Lannisters (until Edmure stuffed that up).
Littlefinger has been effectively leading House Arryn in the Vale since he killed Lysa (the Starks' aunt). It was the Arryn army that he brought to the Battle of the Bastards.
It was actually pretty sneaky of Littlefinger to offer up the Tully army rather than 'his' Arryn army. When Sansa realised that they didn't have enough Northern houses to take on the Boltons, she wrote to Littlefinger to bring the Arryns into the battle.

I was actually expecting him to release his dogs when he told Rickon to runmore mad about Rikkon running in a straight line than him being dead. Would've been better if Ramsey made the dogs chase him down
