It's a culmination of a few things. Majority of it is cash, yes, but there is a part of being higher up in the midfield chain.Is that from inside info? I was under the impression that the only reason he wants to go is cash. If that is the case, Sydney may decide to find some more for him - eg. let someone else go. Sam Reid is supposedly on pretty big cash and would appear expendable.
Sydney are very tight on their cap which is understandable. They have a lot of quality, and some very very good young kids who will command more money very shortly. They've got the most depth in the league regarding midfielders with daylight second. If there's any team that can cover the loss of a contested pig like Mitchell its the Swans.
Being told you'll be top dog in a midfield (or close to it), as well as receiving the wage should not be underestimated.
Sydney will come out of this quite well imo.
