The idea trading of WC's 2017 first rounder on two of Gold Coast's 2016 2nd rounders is interesting as it involves a bit of gambling. I had a look at how it might work out using the new points system.

GC 2016 2nd round picks (currently):
21: 878 points
22: 845 points
24: 785 points
27: 703 points

The least of those, 24 and 27, equate to Pick 9 (1469 points), so, assuming a swap as listed above, GC need us to finish 10th or lower next year for this to be a good deal for them.

The risk to GC here is offset by the fact they have two earlier 2nd rd picks to nab any of their targets before us, so the question is -would we take this gamble?

I don't see us sliding far - not good enough for a flag without serious improvement in the midfield sure, but surely not lower than 10th.

So how about it - 2017 1st rounder for 2016's 24 and 27?

Basketball is very taxing on body. Especially on knees worse than afl.

But we r talking about why flying itself is detrimental. The science of it.

For example if u play on concrete than grass, ur knees will suffer more due to less give and therefore higher dynamic load through joints. See that's science.

Now flying is more detrimental because....

I've only said it 5 times before but i would give both this years and next years first rounders for all 4 of their second rounders this year. With them set to trade omeara and prestia they likely wont even need their second round picks after they secure compensation for them as well. Go into the draft with 5 picks between 20 and 30.
