I would suggest you don't rate the players we are looking at from GWS in this deal? To me there is no difference in these players than there is in the draft. Except for pick 5 we get one player alone in the draft.we can receive 5 players from GWS who are former high, first and second round draft picks. I know which way Id prefer to go with pick number 5.

What do they have to offer us? They don't have a pick until 35, that isn't enough for Tuohy.

Further still, these GWS lads have had a few years in the system to get used to the rigours of AFL football, have built their bodies up a bit, etc.

Couple this with SOS’ penchant for trading picks for x1 pick in the top 12 or so, and I am starting to think SOS isn’t a fan of rolling the dice in the draft on kids not in the top 20-25.

He likes to get high picks, and likes to get kids who’ve had a few years in the system. It is all about improving ones odds.
