I find it hard to believe that you can make a decision that someone never has and never will have anything interesting to say without some sort of personal slant on it.

Having said that, you can't put me on ignore so we return to the choices I gave you. Hopefully that will be the end of the continual negative interjections.

It is perfectly normal to ignore someone. You do it in real life, as well as everyone else.

If you choose to become a mod then you choose to have to read all the crap.

If you choose to become a normal poster you are forced to read the mods public posts. Why? It does not make sense.

This is not personal to you ODN (although it would be fantastic to ignore your posts), but there is no logical reason why the public posts of mods have to be read by everyone? Mods can deal with people who stuff up via pm.

Yeah, your a stupid jerk ODN, you talk too much and you stink of twinkies, Tacos and sauerkraut mixed together!

Jokes :)

Please don't ban me. I love all your posts...

Why are we all up anyways? Not like a trade will happen at this time, or probably this week for matter of fact.

Night jerks!

I appreciate this and will limit my twinkie intake.

Considering I don't run BigFooty and am not responsible for the software, you may consider posing your question on the suggestions board. Chief will respond.

No he won't (he might respond but nothing will be done). I've asked him for simple software changes in the past (hotlinking without attribution) and it goes through to the keeper.

I have asked the same and also asked for a link from here to Blueseum. BF policies are BF policies. Can only try.

The ignore feature will not be changing. ODN's articulated why perfectly; mods need to be able to communicate with all posters if the need arises. That ability is obviously lost if you cannot see their posts.

Geek, scroll past the post if you don't wish to read it- simple. If you don't like that, too bad, your issue.

To all those who wish they could ignore me, I am sincerely sorry.

But it will not be changing. The end.

Back to footy.

Anyone understand the mediation process as the list mangler thinks that's were this may be headed. Up to Gibbs management to come back to Carlton with an offer we can accept.

It's Adelaide calling again. Don't answer!
BRYCE Gibbs's proposed move to Adelaide has hit a wall with The Advertiser reporting Carlton is refusing to take calls from the Crows.

The Blues are reportedly content on the 27-year-old contracted star staying at the club unless the Crows blow them out of the water with an offer.

That appears unlikely unless the Crows significantly change their stance, with young stars Mitch McGovern, Jake Lever and Charlie Cameron unwilling to be involved in a trade.

Good.

That's exactly what an offer of 13 and Lyons should get you.

So again it comes back to Adelaide wanting to TAKE without GIVING anything in return.

The media are all in on it...wanting Gibbs to get to Adelaide. One fawning report from the AFL's Phelan even had this to say:

"With Carlton hell bent on convincing Gibbs to stay or extracting a king's ransom from Adelaide (who have already baulked at parting with Charlie Cameron or Mitch McGovern), it seems the Crows are going to have to get creative."

Hello, do these people not get it. These type of emotional phrases FROM JOURNALISTS just make me more determined for SOS to dig his heels in.
Carlton is not in this business to help any club, and if the club doesn't get a fair trade then they shouldn't trade.
Getting draft picks is getting crumbs at the table, because we are gambling on the future of an unknown player.
Carlton want a ready made player - that is fair.
If they don't get what is fair then the whole drafting/trading system needs to be reformed.
eg Daniel Wells for Collingwood - can you look at that and say that is fair for North?
There are so many examples of this system needing reformation.

The article by this Adelaide fan - Jason Phelan - brought up the Jarman/Salmon trade. Overlooking the key point. In that trade EVERYONE won.

Paul Salmon btw was a "fair" trade for Hawthorn when they gave Adelaide Jarman.

What Adelaide is proposing "we will give you a couple of crappy draft picks" is NOT FAIR AND BALANCED.
Get it in your skulls.

Carlton getting a player that was ranked in their top 12 players is a fair trade - plus a draft pick. Fair. Get it.
Not one journalist looks at this from Carlton's viewpoint.

I didn't think there would be mediation needed when a contract is in place. It's up to Adelaide to satisfy us so that we can break the contract

In the real world pick 13 and maybe a player like Lyons is prob what Gibbs is worth. Adelaide fans think that is fair and it should get the deal done.

HE IS CONTRACTED....
HE IS A REQUIRED PLAYER....

Being fair has no basis in this arguement. If Adelaide wish to prize him from us the ball is in their court. How much do you want him???

You see I don't even think in the real world that is fair.

I don't see Lyons in the top 10 vote getters in Adelaide's b&f so he can't be that good as rated by Adelaide themselves.

So what they are proposing is a fringe player (perhaps a "rising star", perhaps a developing player, who had a relatively good season in 2016, but not good enough to rate in the top 10) that vs someone at Carlton who has often won games off his own boot and polled consistently high in the b&f over many years. Has Lyons ever polled in the top 10 of a b&f ? No.

And pick 13 as well. That is pure speculation in the end.

In a fair trade you would want a player ranked in their top 10 - and that's what Carlton went to them with - Charlie Cameron - plus draft picks.

MALCOLM BLIGHT MEDAL 2016

1 Rory Sloane 268

2 Eddie Betts 249

3 Tom Lynch 215

4 Daniel Talia 192

5 Taylor Walker 185

6 Brodie Smith 183

7 Matt Crouch 180

8 Kyle Hartigan 173

9 Charlie Cameron 168

10 Josh Jenkins 167

In mediation AFL would be on our side... It devalues contracts further, they are big on equalisation and don't like struggling clubs having players poached to the cream... And unlike Beams, Bell, he's not going home because a parent is majorly ill... He's going because he wants success (see point about good players leaving struggling clubs) and he and his Mrs for some reason can't afford a good nanny.

I do want pick 13 though..that along with pick 5 in a midfielders draft while rebuilding is a good start.

We won't keep both though. One of them would be going to GWS for Marchbank.

WT* Doss, I was just getting into party mode from the night before and you come on hear talking sense and logic and stuff.

This is absolutely the right stance by carlton well done silvagni. About time. We just cannot afford to lose gibbs for anything less than a massive win for CFC it would absolutely gut the team, thank god he is contracted or else we would have been bent over big time.

Mark Evans on GuesSEN this morning was asked that exact question re Gibbs, his reply was that they have no power to force trades only to try a mediate an agreement, so as it stands if the crows want Gibbs that bad that they think he is the difference, they have to make us a Godfather offer. If they don't want to make the offer they need to move on.

What do you guys know about why he wants to come back to Adelaide?

Like someone said above it shouldn't be that hard to get support raising bubs. Any more detail you guys might know?
