Actually looking like a good chance that Marshall will be at 18. Starting to look like a pick around 12 would be too early for him.
Someone will reach. They always do for KPF's.

Still in the Hayward camp. Want to get Maibaum or Garthwaite later as KPD's.

Not a good year for KPF's imo next year will be much better

So using that Logic we rate Hamling as a 1st Rounder
We may well rate him as a late first rounder or an early second round pick. We'll see how trade week pans out.
He's out of contract and Freo have an early PSD pick which changes a player's value as opposed to (for example) a contracted player spoken of as a future captain.

Apparently Jordan Lewis chose to go to Melbourne because they "stood out" after he assessed every other club in the competition.

The only club offering you a three year deal tends to stand out when you know you're legs are already on the way out.

I think we can nip the points valuation system in the bud here for trades that actually involve players. Maybe for pick swaps it would be useful in some small sense but really draft pick points mean sweet bugger all once players are actually picked.

Don't know anything about Hayward.

Is he a key forward from SA?

U18s?

More like a cross between Jake Stringer and James Sicily. Mid sized player with a really big leap, very quick and agile, a very clean set of hands, footy IQ is high and he is hard to match up on. Kicked 9 goals in a SANFL 18's prelim and kicked 4 in the Granny.

Hmm.. still keen on Battle (yes he's not a key forward size), Logue and possibly Marshall

It's interesting that some supporters believe the Hawks and Geelong dynasties came about through progressive trading. Not true, they came about through drafting, development and more importantly player retention.

In fact aggressive trading has basically stuffed the Hawks for the next period trading out the first 2 in THIS years b&f, Sydney are losing a substantial part of their mid tier players and the Cats cannot fit in players who want to go there after last years trading period. The Hawks and Cats built their dynasties they are now clawing to stay relevant.

We also have 2 rookie spots available to continue to develop our list

The agressive trading was a good strategy to employ for those clubs during the compromised draft years to build on their base created through solid drafting and development. It enabled them to extend their dynasties (with help from the expansion teams and the draft system at the time) but did not create them.

If Boyd and Murph retire next year, then Pittard should be looked at.

Has come on in leaps and bounds. OOC next season (trade radio).

Very much worth a look and a ready made replacement.

Is this where we offer a fourth rounder for Josh Gibson or Burgoyne?
Burgoyne was 3rd in their B&F so he's next in line (Mitchell 1st, Lewis 2nd).

Really clearing the decks down in Glen Waverly, I guess Vickery doesn't come cheap.

Would be pricy - and that's assuming Bailey Williams doesn't kick on which, to be honest, I think he will.

Suckling, Wood, Williams, JJ is a decent starting point for rebounders without considering we might just be able to convince Adams to stay (he can rebound) and we'll have Morris for probably 2 more years, Cordy there, and presumably Collins/Roberts fighting for a spot.

The notion of us fighting for pick 35 instead of 43, as opposed to something much better than pick 35 makes me bloody sick. Hamling is worth a pick between 15 and 30 right now. Proven key defender that is young and in lightning form
