where did i say i was a fan of the coach?

I agree to an extent he doesn't always players to their strengths.

Just saying, some of these examples are mostly a result of a poor year than anything else.
You don't have to say it, it's clear as day.

It's not the result of a poor year rather the result of a failed attempt to rebuild the list post Wallace and now trying to find an alternate method of getting results. Everybody in football could see what he was doing and said it was the wrong path. Not Hardwick though, he knew better. After three straight weak efforts at playing finals the master coach switched his style from fast attacking in 2015 to boring slow hold onto the ball until the pressure results in turnovers. Guess what style of play the two grand finalists play each week?

He is a dud coach with dud ideas. Can't develop kids, places too much faith in rehashed players to cover his arse from not being able to get results from his kids. A good coach with as many holes as our list has would have said no to Prestia and caddy and invested the picks in a solid draft for a few years time. Not this bloke though, he is just after another quick fix and hope to just win a few games and "try" play finals.

And don't forget to define AA for me as I didn't understand your earlier post

Add Yarran to that as people think we got him for free when in actual fact we could have. Yet he's cost us two second rounders which were traded for a pick 19 and a minimum of one full year of top dollar. His case iwas so sad and its good that it's coming all good again , but as a competent football decision it sucked.

Cute rant but you do know hardwick isn't list management dont you? He isn't the one behind prestia and caddy, balme, richardson and hartley are. Both are excellent pick ups

Hardwick even gets blame for player injuries around here.
That's simple to answer as DH has a taxing game plan which is played in lots changes of directions for players. This ultimately leads to player fatigue and injuries. What happened this year in terms of injuries ?

*yawns* heard it all before...

don't you get tired and bored of having the same circular arguments over and over again? the same debates etc/

you realise its not going to change anything right

Well... not necessarily. I think most coaches over the years that were terminated due to lack of results, would have been in part because of fans voicing their discontent. And just like everything, the attitude of a collective group of people starts with one person and then grows. So having the same sort of debates does in fact serve a purpose.

I have looked at nearly all the other teams forums at length over the last couple of years, and most hold the coach responsible first & foremost, for their performance.
The Bulldogs, Hawthorn, Sydney, GWS, St.Kilda, WC especially do over the last couple of years. So I don't understand why people are surprised that Tiger fans are the same.
The sack the DH comments started to gather frequency in 2013, and have been escalating since.

True, he isn't the person who calculates, negotiates or signs the contracts, but the head coach in any team has a massive say into the recruitment strategy and the attributes of players for different positions to be recruited by the recruiters.
Their was a piece a few years ago from the recruiting department that talked about the type of players DH wanted to recruiters to recruit.

The players certainly have some bearing on the end result, but yes, I believe the coach is by far the most decisive factor. I don't doubt for one second that the vast majority of our players would be better players under a better head coach and in a better coaching system.

In no season has that ever been more apparent than this one where we've watched Beveridge do what was unthinkable at the beginning of the season, let alone when he took over.
I take it that Beveridge has replaced SKH as the coach to aspire to be like. Hopefully for Dogs fans he doesn't get exposed like SKH has been over the last couple of years.

At the start of the season, you said injuries were just excuses.

Unfortunately DH is at the bottom of the coaches ladder and no other club would go near him. Pretty obvious Beveridge has surpassed skh as he has been voted coach of the year in consecutive years. The key is building up to winning a flag and the RFC is content in losing EF. This is why DH still has a job.

He hasn't yet run out and I doubt he will be much good this coming year even if he does due to his lack of fitness. Good on him for having a crack at it though, he is battling away, the coach would love that.

Saw an article yesterday about Bucks being the most under pressure coach next season, reckon Hardwick and Hinkley will both vie for that title. Let's see after round six who is really under the pump, especially if we are 1&5 or 2&4. You never know we could be 6&0 and Hardwick looking at a contract extension on his desk, we do that at Richmond.

At Richmond it's the fans that are responsible, not the coach, not the players, not the .......the fans , members and supporters

Correct, the recycled duds, were to the coaches specifications, also note the port Adelaide connection, Dimma hands are alll over

Doubt they'd care after he's already delivered a flag ;)

this stood out literally from day one with

So you don't think the coach has any say in the type of player, age, skill set or similar? Yeah okay then champ......
Where did i say he had no say at all? He wouod give his imput and say maybe we need to improve our midfield, but he certainly wouldn't say go get me prestia, and caddy i want them, thats list management who also have the final say.
