Not necessarily in the gym. But why the **** do trainers ask for advice well outside their qualifications on FB? "I have a client who has just come back from major surgery, and they have some secondary conditions from it. How do I do a program for them?"
If you have to ask on FB you aren't qualified to be working with them you dumb campaigner

For an industry that really should be client centric, there's a lot of morally dodgy shit going on by PTs/businesses
99% sure I posted previously about the chick who had her images used by an Anytime Fitness she'd never been to (will post link at bottom), and that seems to be pretty common. I know Dave Tate at Elitefts occasionally posts about people stealing their imagines to promote that persons business
A certain local "sports science consultant" also has a website full of images that definitely aren't of him, his staff or his gym

This site seems to enjoy auto embedding lol
The link is there above the embed but it will need to be copied and pasted

tonight there were to **** bois dancing topless in the group training room.

Guessing they were trying to impress a couple of the girls that are built in that Hope Howard style... with the high wasted gym pants.

The injury was an Achilles tear that had been surgically repaired and the client presented with bursitis post surgery and still has symptoms. Most people responded "you need to ask the specialist for information before doing ANYTHING"
One guy said that there is no limitations and that people focus on the negative too much
Then said that he had a client in a moon boot so he gave them unilateral movements and they lost no strength or muscle mass in the leg in the boot in twelve weeks
Yeah bullshit

Yeah because the inflammation from the Achilles ripping away from the bone doesn't present any limitations lol
And there's a fair bit of evidence to support a contralateral training effect, but definitely not anything near maintaining all strength and muscle mass over 12 weeks lol

He was just posting to be overly positive. Said we all focus too much on negatives, and we shouldn't see limitations. Was the stupidest thing I've seen.

Tiny sweat towels piss me off. WTF is the point of them if you only cover a small part of the equipment and sweat over the rest of it? Either bring a full size towel or nothing at all. Maybe it's all my years of contact sports, but I could care less if there's some salty water on the equipment.

I'd normally agree with the last part, but there's a guy at my (occasional) gym that uses 1 spot on the carpet to foam roller and 1 spot on the concrete wall to get a cricket ball into his back - there's a massive stain on the wall and his sweat has eaten away the carpet lol

The towel is to wipe myself
You should be wiping down equipment with a paper towel and spray. A towel over the top does sweet **** all

campaigners using not being intelligent with how many plates they use
Bloke doing 110kg deads. Each side of the bar is as follows
1x20
1x5
1x10
2x5
Just use 2 20s and a five you campaigner

That doesn't even make sense allowing for him taking a couple of warm ups lol
Highly doubt he did 60, 70, 90, 95, 100

Would've been 90 100 110
But he wasn't there long enough. I only counted 3 sets

a woman in the rack opposite me was doing the same. 2 sets
A 2.5 and 2 5s either side

I'm down at Phillip island for the week on holidays. There is a good little gym that will get me by for the week......

I went in there this morning and a bloke was in there training tops off.....give us a spell mate.

That's what annoys me, the charade. I'd prefer people do the wrong thing than pretend to do the right thing.
I meant a big towel does **** all, no difference between using that and wiping it with a little one. Both still leave residual

Not so much irritating for me, but maybe for the other guy
Back story -
Went to the gym (vs my garage) to squat, were in full comp gear and took ages so decided to superset accessory movements to cut down on time
Actual story -
We were doing sled drags supersetted with reverse hypers but a guy was leaning on the hyper we normally use so we used another one (there's 3) as to not get in his way as we'd be back and forth
Anyway, as it turns out he was actually using the one we ended up using (so we did get in his way), and just resting on the one we wanted to use lol
Moral of the story - if you're going to use equipment to rest on, at least make it the equipment you're actually using

3 benches in the gym
One occupied by three old blokes, haven't done a set in 20 minutes. Middle one being used correctly. Last one being used by a bloke to do leg raises and elevated feet crunches. There's a huge area for core and stretching
And they're regulars so they should know better

About 45 irritating things at the gym this morning. Couldn't even list them all
Resolutioners aren't the issue. It's the moron regulars who think they own the joint

You either need to build a gym or buy one lol
It's franchise gyms i've found. They seem to just attract w***ers
It's worse since new years, all the regular douchebags have gotten worse, they seem to think they own the place now that there's newbies around, and they need to show how alpha they are
