I wonder if and when this fred will become redundant?

I miss Sanderson, he was so easy to hate. Don 'slice of plain white bread with a glass of water on the side for dippin' Pyke is just sort of there. I don't think I'd even recognise his voice if I heard it.

kochie mate don't wait till the end of the season, he's already had 2 terrible years with no sign of improvement

I swear that was all players that game. They just stopped running. You could see them just jogging after their man, then bam- mark crows.

true, the players didn't seem too committed to the game, but as the coach it's also his role to make sure the players aren't lounging around

Lol. Lose by under 3 goals to the premiership favourites after an undefeated start to the year, time to bump the sack the coach thread.

Given the dumb brand of footy we played under Sanderson, I just assumed Port supporters would love the guy.

However, Hinkley said his side did stick to its method and was pleased his players didn't retreat from the game plan as Adelaide piled on the pressure during the second and third terms.

"We stuck to what we were trying to do and we still weren't good enough to get over the line," he said.

A bit concerning, considering most have put our loss down to the players not following the plan and structure. Apparently they did.

He's not going to say 'We fell away from it for a quarter' because then it sounds like he's making an excuse for the performance, especially in a Showdown.

We have have stuck to the method, but we didn't stick to the effort required. It requires both the follow the plan and structure.

I'd suggest our players absolutely retreated from the game plan, unless "Close your eyes and jam it on the boot to an outnumbered contest" was part of the game plan we'd been hiding all season just waiting to unleash it after quarter time on an unsuspecting Crows outfit.

Ken wants to protect his players but they reverted to 2016 mode for a quarter and a half in the middle of the game. The only thing to their credit is that they corrected their mistakes and pulled themselves out of the hole against a good opposition and got back into the game.
