I'm loving the thought of us trading next year's first round pick for Jake Lever.
I'd hope we can organise something without needing to do that.

Sure, but failing an obvious player trade it seems the most likely option. That's going down the path of hypotheticals in any case, which isn't my intent...

...more I'm loving the idea of doubling down on "tradin aweh our futurez? yeah, well stick this in your pipe and smoke it."

Just a ploy to decrease his value. Kinda like when we hide players away for three years... forgetting the compounding value of actually getting football experience...
Just sticking up for his mates, sounds a good trait to have in a team sport, get him in the brown and gold to show some spirit and fly the flag. no negatives to see here

You guys already reeled in a massive carp called Vickery, i know carp are a bit smelly and don't fight very hard but at least they grow big like Vickery.

Honest question.
Does anyone see a leader like Hodge out there, anywhere in the league?
Yep! Young Viney from Melbourne was miked up on the weekend and his verbal onfield direction reduced me to tears. Inspirational!!! Was left hanging for more.

Lever to the hawks would be amazing, dont know what it would take to get the crows to let him go?
Pittard coming off half back for the hawkers would be nice too!

I don't know which thread to post this question in but this is pretty close so I'll do it here.

Say our approach to gaining players (treating draft, trade and free agency as mere tools none more valuable than the other except for the particular player opportunity they present) is correct (which I believe it is) and it works (which I believe it will). How long until other teams catch on and join the party? Unlike BF which resists every innovation like an old granny taping the radio dial to 3AW late night, I think teams will try to catch up fast.

I guess you could say that our Dingley facilities are the club staying one step ahead and moving three (or is it four now?) years before anyone figured out a large part of why they were building Dingley (destination club).
