When you previously mentioned the team felt flat...anything serious to this? Individual players or just the overall environment?
I'd suggest he's referring to mid-season break, after a big pre-season, some big games, a young side and we're just slipping into winter.

Many will be a bit flat and in need of a break and refresh. It might not look as rough and tumble as the old days, but they play pretty hard out there.

I remember reading studies from 10 or so years ago that show a marked decrease in immunological and inflammation/repair factors in blood samples come the end of an AFL season. Imagine what the demand is like these days.
 
Sumner and Macreadie in go you good thing. Its so good to see us backing the boys and not bringing White or Palmer in for the senior Thomas and Rowe.


But note.. this means we are playing 14 "youth" an absolute record for us. One more than we ever have before and that suggests to me that a late change could potentially come in to lower that number. I'd be ecstatic to roll 14 youth but i wonder if the MC would be
