Kingy surprisingly just said on AFL360 that Lever needs to stay. Disregard the larger cash offers from other clubs and stay at Adelaide. There are potentially flags on offer at Adelaide, and they are worth more.
He also said "although, he'll probably go".

He is 100% gone. This is Dangerfield exactly all over again. Start imagining the team without him people.

Not if moneys your thing or you or your partner want to be closer to family it's not.

It's been nothing like it so far. I get people are nervous but he's given us nothing to suggest it's like him.

You can't be happy to lose another quality player
Would you care if either left if we won the flag this year? As much as it sucks losing quality players, it's had no impact on our ladder position for the past few years.

I try not to keep myself in the loop with this too much because it's so frustrating - but what happened to those few posters (generally reliable at that) who all unanimously said he was about to re-sign a month or two ago? What's changed?

Jake kept telling us he and his manager were just waiting for the player's new CBA to be signed off, that's was signed off 5 weeks ago, now we're hearing from Jake he's waiting on his manager Ned Guy to get back from holidays, next week what will be the hold up, and the week after???

Anyway, his girlfriends make up posts are all about building up clients in Adelaide - so if you need to hang your hat on some good signs....

Here's a tip, a makeup artist can work anywhere in the world at the drop of a hat. They pack up their little kit and go.

I should know. A close family member is a very successful one.

Neds lost his reading glasses, he went to Specsavers today and his new ones should be ready to be picked up in a fortnight. So, until then, Ned can't read the contract so I will have to hold off on it.

I'm not suggesting they can't.
He's gone mate. It's alright, we'll get through this together.

In regards to the first question, yes I would as I'd want to win more.

As for your second statement, I'm sorry but that's one of the most idiotic posts I've read on here. How do you know we wouldn't have won the flag last year with Danger? And if we had Danger this year, we wouldn't have to be worrying about Geelong. And that's not even touching on the other players we've lost. It's a statement that you can't possibly prove true given we haven't won anything.

How do you know we would've won with him? Certainly didn't help us in 2012 or 2015. Yours is a statement that is impossible to prove as well. So I guess we call this a nil all draw?

What?

Nah, you've said the players we lost made no difference, I'm saying they might have. Spot the difference?

I am becoming more partial to lever going. When looking at the age profile of our list we do have decent cover for lever (Kelly, Doedee) and a fairly young back line. If you look at our forward line they are much older. McGovern is our future in terms of a key tall.

If we get good compensation for lever and are able to use the picks to acquire an elite inside mid and we re sign gov this would be a pretty good outcome.

This is quite possibly the reason we aren't matching the big money offers from the Dogs etc. Maybe we figure Doedee or Keith takes his spot and we get to get a first rounder or so for him and we use the spare money for a good midfielder. I'd actually be for that scenario but I don't want to lose the Gov as well.
