There's an assumption there that just because he's contrary to some supporters interests that he's somehow an impartial doyen of fact. I'd dispute that.

Boomer has always said, while he wasn't happy with the decision itself, that he's never had a problem with Brad as he fulfilled his commitment to be honest and to let him know when he knew, which he did. (Arguably, to the detriment of the club's 2016 finals campaign.)

Brad did deny that he had spoken to Brisbane, and he denied instructing his manager to speak to anyone. (The only 'loophole' is that he didn't deny his manager may have spoken to them if they'd inquired.) Brad has repeatedly said if North want him, he wants to stay.

Barrett made it look like there was disharmony, such that Brad was checking out other options.
